|  | | | I just Read UEM's entry about Spy Games 2003 (great write up, BTW!) and it got me to thinking, is there any, or has there ever been any sort of international convention where Urbexers from all over can get together and share info, go on some lite missions and stuff like that?
The idea I have in my head is similar to a national trade show or something like that.
Anything like this in the works?

There are small gatherings, but I haven't heard of anything on a national scale. One of the problems I can invision with a convention, of course, is the fact that while 10 UErs are inobtrusive, 100 would get noticed ("Whoops, excuse me, there's a limit of 25 people allowed in this drain at a time" "Oh, so sorry!")

I've been thinking of organizing a large-ish one myself. The problem is that while UE people are numerous worldwide, there are only small-ish communities on a city by city basis. Ontario's got quite a community which is why I think Ninj's games worked and UEM's meet was somewhat more modest, but I think if enough notice were given, some of our farther-away bretheren might make it down to Montreal, or Toronto, or something.
Does anyone else have an interest in a big UE meeting? Could anyone from outside the Quebec/Ontario area make it to an Ontario meeting? (I say ontario because we have a large concentration of explorers there already, and it's cheap for us quebecers to get to)
I don't know when we'd do it, maybe next summer or something. And we could all help each other out. I don't think a single explorer would have to spring for a hotel if the explorers in the host city were generous enough. I know if it was held here I could host at least 3-4 people, and that's just me.

Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal? Its a natural plant that grows in the dirt. You know what's not natural, 80 year old dudes with hardons. Thats not natural, but we got pills for that. We're dedicating all our resources to keeping the old guys erect but we're puttin people in jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt. |

That would be cool. Aside from being an adept in the Tibetan Chin Shadoa, I am also a practiced Boy Scouts leader. I can make a fire by rubbing two Girl Guides together, and can hunt for my own food (providing there is a Hasty Mart or Zehr's nearby).
