Hey my name is Jacob, a.k.a zettaswag on many websites. I live in the NOLA area. I have infiltrated several office buildings and hotels but no abandoned buildings yet because, I have yet to finish my kit, survival pack, or whatever term you prefer. One of my favorite things is parking garages, because they are at least 8 stories and nobody asks questions (usually)

Hi everyone,
My name is Tyler. I am a highschooler, and I live in the Denver area of Colorado in the US. I like music and lots of forms of visual entertainment, including movies, youtube, and video games (general stuff like that). I play guitar, and I am beginning to learn drums. My first urban explore happened when a few friends and I wandered into a pretty big rainwater drain. At the time, I was unaware of this website (or the fact that other people did this as a hobby), but after bringing a different friend inside the tunnel at a later date, he told me to google Urban Exploration, and thus, here I am. I intend to explore everything: from Titan Missile bases, to abandoned mine shafts (proper gear of course); from drains in the city, to abandoned asylums, and I hope to enjoy these adventures with some of this website's community after seeing the collaboration, friendliness, and fun that is abundant on here. I hope to meet some new friends who can share their UE knowledge with me, and accompany me on some gnarly adventuring.

This hobby will kill you all! And if you're female, you'll only be raped in abandoned buildings.

Get out now while there's still time!

Hi,

How are you? Is that a new shirt? I didn't think so. It looks good on you. You blend in well with that wall, no not that wall, the other wall. Yes, that one.

I'm new. My name is Steve and I live in the ACT (for those who aren't Australian, Australian Capital Territory). Always had a wanderlust and I was told it would always lead me to a place that I'd be in trouble when I got there. But I am glad to see there are so many like minded people. I look forward to getting to know you all and hoping seeing some sites!

Hey, everyone. I'm Jen. I live in Illinois. I am a stay at home wife who loves rock music. I play volleyball and can't resist an adventure. Old, abandoned buildings have always fascinated me. I can remember getting in trouble many a times when I was younger for being in buildings that weren't 'safe'. Hope to learn from the experienced, everything I can to become a better photographer and explorer.

Hey, like a lot of you I'm new to the site but not new to exploring. It's only been in the last year or so that I've found out about urban exploration ant that a lot of people are doing it. I explore almost every night around Cincinnati and Northern Ky. It would be awesome to meet up with some people around my area who are also into exploring abandoned buildings, climbing bridges and just roaming around the city!

Hi my name is Alli. I'm currently in Downeast Maine, but possibly relocating in a few months to who knows where. I'm a fire spinning "hippie" under my respectable exterior. I've done some light UE in my hometown in the Capital Region of New York, but was too short sighted to ever take a camera so it looks like I'll be going back some places. It's definitely something I would like to get more into, even if my boyfriend has mo interest. I look forward to showing off my finds, networking, and exploring new places.

I do have one noob question I'd like to ask (and yes I've searched!): I know the etiquette surrounding location names etc, but what about places that are since demolished and gone? A bit more kosher?

Welcome to UER

Locations that have been recognized as demolished are available in the database to all people. So yes, generally it is okay to openly discuss locations if you know they have been demo'd. The only time I can think this wouldn't apply is if the location has multiple buildings on it and one or more is still standing.

Hey guys,

So glad the three day wait was over for me to post. It sure felt like a lot longer than three days... Anywho, I'm Michael (thegentlemancaller) and I'm based out the Chattanooga, TN area. I moved here about a year ago from Birmingham, AL, but previously grew up in NE Ohio and Bismarck, ND.

I consider myself an amateur urban explorer, but I've actually been doing it since I was a little kid. In Youngstown, OH we lived near a graveyard and an old fire station, and I used to love to explore them with my friends. We often played Mad Max, but we'd argue over who got to be Max.

I was about 16 when I moved to North Dakota and that's where I really became active in urban exploration. I explored countless old farm houses and grain elevators and a few bits of abandoned industry. That's where my passion really began.

It sounds odd, I know, but I recently saw a trailer for Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon (it's a video game that takes place in a world where 99% of mankind just disappeared), and giving it a play made me really want to get back into urban exploration. I'm 26, married, with a baby, so I definitely have to be careful - my wife would kill me just as easily as a nasty fall would, hahaha...

I see that there are a few here in the Chattanooga area and nearby and I'd love to network with you guys. The more friends the merrier! Plus, hopefully some of you can show me some neat new places. I have a few myself (trying out two of them this weekend) and hope to really see some beautiful abandoned properties!

What a long intro... Anywho, feel free to PM me.

Hello fellow urban explorers, my name is Raph and I am from Montréal, Canada. Recently, one of my friends made me discover Urban Exploring. We went to an old abandoned building and explored every corner of it. Then i realized how awesome UE really was. It is true i was a sceptic at the very beginning. But my passion for it grew as i was finding many treasures and secrets that were inside old buildings.

Anyways, my lack of a mean of transportation didnt stop me there, as i would walk long distances just to reach a cool area of my city. Even the cold wind and snowy weather of Montreal can't change my motivation that i have towards doing some more UE.

More personal information about me: I'm 18, i do judo and I'm still at school. During the summer I'm a lifeguard and I love to go to raves and listen to some good music. I really like Terror EBM, industrial techno, Dubstep, Metal and jazz. I have some pictures id like to share soon of my last UE trip.

Hello.

After a well-spent youth getting on downtown rooftops, climbing around abandoned buildings, mapping out tunnels under the local university, and hopping freight trains, I took a sabbatical into respectability for the past decade.

That came to an end when I moved the family to Fredericksburg, VA. Through the woods behind our house is an abandoned, historic mansion, surrounded by several other abandoned houses and buildings. My eldest two kids and I have explored them all. Elsewhere in the woods, we found a rusty car in a bamboo grove. I create a Google Map tracking the vagrant camps we've found. We've been down in the sewers.

Last weekend, I took three of my kids through a culvert under I-95N and we explored the wooded median. Our next big planned trip is to explore another culvert that we found which appears to go under both lanes of I-95 and then continue on beneath a mall.

Hello peoples, my name is Kasey and I'm from the central Texas area. I enjoy reading, writing, urban exploration, parkour, long distance running, and music (mixing and piano).

Anyways, almost my entire life until a half a year ago (I'm currently still in high school) I was lived in the suburbs, where I explored the forests, abandoned buildings, and construction sites that were all around. So I'm not at all new to exploring hard to reach places, and to a lesser degree, urban explorations.

Recently, though, I moved to downtown Austin, and since I didn't have my forest to explore anymore (unless I wanted to run about 10 miles), I started looking around the parks, where I found the drains. I explored parts of them for a while, but got a little nervous about it and decided to research it a bit more, which brought me here, where I am now.

So now I'm really trying to get into this type of culture and really improve my photography skills by getting into this as more of a hobby than before, when it was a troublemaking thing.

Hey everyone, I'm Tania and I'm from the Toronto/GTA area.

I was referred to this site by a friend and am checking it out out of curiosity. I've always been fascinated with urban exploration but haven't had much opportunity to do much exploring myself. I'm here hoping to learn, share my adventures, and connect with cool people.
