Up here it's winter and as such I am having cabin fever! My plans for 2012 will include a May or June solo canoe trip to Algonquin Park, hopefully 2 or 3 2 night trips to Samuel De Champlain and Lake Superior and a fall trip up in Algonquin to get in some fall colours photography! Oh and this year I get to bring my son who is now 4 months along, can't wait for his first trip to the wilds!

What do you guys have planned in 2012 for the great outdoors?

Klondike with the Boy Scouts this weekend (including camping); possible hike with the Backpackohio.com crew in April, Zaleski State Forest (Ohio) in May, Adirondacks in June.

I've actually decided to change my plans for my first trip this year. Instead of doing my annual solo trip in Algonquin Park, I am going to head up to a park I have always wanted to go to ever since i drove through it on my way home from a trip. Lake Superior Provincial Park has been calling my name and this year, I am answering the call. It's about an 11 hour drive from here but I will have my dog to keep me company! Going to stay in the Agawa bay campground and have a beachfront site!! This should be a great trip, making it 3 nights and 4 days
