Hi! My name is Stephanie and I'm from Fairfield County in the state of CT. I've always been interested in abandoned houses but I only heard about UEing at some point last year. I've visited a few abandoned places in my area and I've legally gone inside some of them with my mom, who is most likely responsible for my interest in abandoned houses. The only 2 abandoned places that I've photographed are an abandoned house a few towns over (this one is really cool) and Fairfield Hills, which I only have outside pictures of.

Fun Fact: I have legally been inside 2 of the buildings on the Fairfield Hills campus, but I was little when I was in one of them, so I don't really remember it.

Hey, I'm Max. Urban Exploring is one of those things I've been doing for years but only recently found out there was a name for it. I heard about this site from a cool dude at work, and figured hanging out here could come in handy.

I'm from Columbus, Ohio, and pretty familiar with the area and many of the good sites, although I'm living in Dayton for another week, and there is some pretty awesome stuff out here, I've already found a handful of things that are as cool as the coolest stuff I've found back home.

Fun fact: if it's legal, it's not nearly as fun.

Hi all, my name is Aaron, and I find exploring stuff to be really cool and interesting. I'm too afraid to go into old abandoned buildings with "no trespassing" signs and stuff, but I've found some interesting stuff right in and around my own neighborhood, which is in a fairly rural area with some pretty old buildings and stuff around. There is an old building that used to be a McDonalds long ago that I drive by sometimes, and I can see that one of the windows is broken in; it tempts me to go in...

I have a cool job that helps me scratch the itch, though. I work at a nuclear power plant, and there are tons of unused and/or abandoned areas at the plant, rooms that house equipment that hasn't been used in 20+ years, buildings that have been built for a specific job and then never used again, old trains and train unloading equipment that has been abandoned long ago, etc. Plus, I think industrial environments and power plant equipment and stuff is really cool, so I like it.

Hi all, I'm pavement. My first experience with urban exploration was a trip to the Belchertown State School in Massachusetts several years ago. The moment I'll never forget was descending a staircase into the basement of one building, steps shrouded in ice. As I reached the bottom of the steps, the hall opened up into a basketball court completely covered in sheet ice (in the middle of May, no less) and in the center of the court, there was a decrepit 45" player. I wish I had a camera on me at the time, but the room was pitch black, and would have been a bit difficult to shoot a decent photo. There was something truly chilling about that place, finding documents from old patient files and later reading about the mistreatment of countless children that passed through its halls (contrary to its name, the "school" wasn't an school at all but rather a mental institution for children, which closed in 1991 due to neglect and abuse of the children). Ever since my trip to Belchertown, I've come to realize there's just something about these old and abandoned buildings that fascinates me. They're like windows into the past - skeletal vestiges of a bygone era. Recently, I've been mulling over the internet looking for like minded people who want to explore these relics when I stumbled across UER. I hope I'll see many more strange and fascinating sites through this site and hopefully learn from other UErs.

Whats up everyone! I've been a member of this site for quitee a while although I haven't posted much at all :/ (just due to the fact that I'm kinda lazy about making trip reports, which I'm trying to change right now!) However, I've been exploring the msp area for at least two or three years very consistently and even though I won't go into detail about where I've been, I'll just say I've been to a lotta the hotspots including drains/sewers/utility tunnels/caves/buildings blah blah blah.. but it has really taken hold of me and become a passion for me( very closely contending with music heh). I've seen quite a few of you guys/gals out and about which is really how I found out about this forum and its just awesome to know there's a huge community around here.. Anyways, just wanted to introduce mahself and start meeting more of ya and getting into the community. Hope to see some of ya around soon!

Cheerz,
Guano

Hi All. My name is Matt here. Just recently got back in to exploring after moving to the Bay Area. I've been doing it off and on since high school. Down to meet up with other members in San Francisco!

Good afternoon, everyone.

My name is Stephanie though I prefer to be called Steph. I'm honestly not good at introductions so I am going to by pass formalities.

I currently live in Charleston, SC and have always been an inquisitive individual. Exploring has always been something I've enjoyed doing. When I was younger, I use to spend quite a bit of time wandering through woods during camping trips or investigating new properties when my uncle was purchasing hunting land. I like going to yard sales and antique shops just to look at old items.

I want to get more serious with urban exploring. There's plenty of woods, marshlands, and old buildings in this area that are screaming to be explored. Though I have no idea where to begin or where to go. I'm hoping you guys can help.

I guess I never did this part. Guelph Ontario area guy here. I explore alone, mostly if not all rural sites except for Barber Paper mill. Would like to see larger scale abandonments

I really hate these intro things.

Been around for a while and most people will recognise me from other sites.

I'm 32, from Manchester, UK and can normally be found underground

Been a little too shy to introduce myself, but here goes nothing!

I'm a southern Wyoming resident. I've been to a few locations exploring, but nothing like a huge factory. I'm hoping to get active here and make a lot of friends who can appreciate the decaying beauty that is an abandoned location. I have a friend who I've explored with, and he seems to enjoy it, but alas, not in the same way as I. Anyway, hello to everyone, and happy exploring! <:

Hey everyone. Not all that good at intros but here goes...I'm Mike and I'm from Southwest Arkansas. With only one exploration, I'm still very new at it but I been haunting forums like these for a few years now. Ready to jump on in once I get the courage to do it solo since I can't seem to find anyone around here that is into Urbex. Photos to come once I nab a better lens for my camera and find a place worth taking a picture of.

I am new but I suck at introductions so here we go...

I am Sarah. I have lived in Southeastern Wisconsin my whole life but I am about to move to Savannah, Georgia for school in a week. I have only been exploring for a little over a year, nothing really too intense, but I am interested in getting more involved and getting more experience. Especially in such an old city like Savannah, I'm hoping to find some interesting stuff there.

Hi! I'm new to the site, old hand at exploring yet I've picked up a good amount of tips and tricks that I'll start using. Namely, finding a co-pilot or group to go with, and the use of a mask.

I live in Houston, and every weekend I'm either on a scout or an explore. I'll post some images in my region of my last couple explores.

Well, hello there. My name is Kevin, but most people call me Plum online. I'll be honest, I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to Urban Exploring (unless you count following the old train tracks outside of town a few years ago) but I'm a huge camping enthusiast and love to be outdoors.

I also have an interest in stuff that looks old. My great grandparents small grandfather clock for instance, or the remains of a shopping center near Dallas where I live. I'm not the best photographer (that'd be my sister), but I love to take pictures of these things.

Anyway, I've rambled enough. If anyone lives in the East Dallas/Garland area and wants a buddy to join them in their adventures, send me a PM or whatever, y'know?

Urbex noob in the Dallas, Texas area, looking for experienced people or someone willing to learn with me.
