| | | Hey, I'm Joe. I live in Western New York. I have explored some of the standard spots in the area: Central Terminal (before the started renovating), the grain mills, Rochester subway, etc. I haven't really joined the UE "community" because I like the anonymity of the exploration. But I'm looking to branch out... because I'm trying to find new "old" places to explore. Also, two years ago, I found myself in southern Texas. I went and explored a ghost town called "Frio Town." I have a bunch of pictures. Since it's on private property, and still there, I don't know if it's in the DB. I'd like to become a full member, but I don't know that I'll meet the posting minimums. I'll post the pics to a new thread, if a full member can add the site to the DB. Thanks, Stay safe, stay hidden... 1. 2.

| | | Hey all! I'm KWboy (Dan) from you guessed it, KW! Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario. Very cool site, looking forward to being a full member so I can use the full features of the search engine. I went to a gathering in Toronto with some members last Saturday October 20th. Was cool to hear some of the stories and to meet other members. We attempted to go into an old waste disposal place downtown but they had made it more challenging to get in so we passed which was disappointing. Anyone in my area please don't hesitate to get in touch and if anyone can recommend any great places to explore please do! Cheers

| | | Hey there everyone! I'm new to this website. I joined a couple months ago but am finally having a proper moment to introduce myself to everyone here. I'm based out of Oakland. Ca. and have been doing urban exploring for a couple years now and photography for the past 5 years and I don't ever see myself stopping either. There is nothing I love more than being in an abandoned space. I have three main passions: Urbex/Street Art/Stolen Moments. I am definitely interested in meeting some Urbexers in my area and doing some serious exploring in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. You can find my work on: Flickr: http://www.flickr....intanaphotography/My website: pixelinaphotography.com Instagram: @pixelina Very much looking forward to see what this community has to offer and what I can give back as well. Best to all, Pixelina P.S. I tried to post a pick but I have no idea how to link it

| | | Posted by gman7 Hello....My name is Greg and me and my daughter enjoy finding old relics and cool places to take pic and wander threw...Ok she finds the places and I drive her there....lol Its a great time for us to bond and talk as I teach her about places I remember as a kid. We are in Md. but we wander all over the east coast if she gives me gas money...jk...I am excited to talk with others and maybe get some help with my photos . Oh yea I have alot of photos to i like people to see but need a site to resize them cause they are to big. Can u Help me Thanks Greg
| No way! I wish my parents were like that! Hahaha, the minute I mentioned the abandoned railroad nearby our house, my parents immediately demanded I stay away. I went anyway. anyway, as for resizing photos, last time I used this ( http://www.shrinkpictures.com/) site to shrink them. It's a bit tedious, but it works. Flickr is probably your best bet, however. It's a great file hosting site and it deals with resizing the photos. You could also resize them in GIMP or Photoshop. They also cover any editing you'd do as well. Welcome to the site!

| | | Hey now! I'm Scott and I live in downtown Atlanta, so I feel a bit sheepish that its taken me so long to discover urban exploration with the sheer abundance of places to see here! @snafu375 let's meet up sometime, Nathan! The aesthetics of decay are hugely appealing to me, but my favorite aspect of exploring is imagining the people that used the site and all the stories that are hidden within. I ride a bike almost 20 hours a week, so stopping to check out places I find along the way has been an amazing way to break the monotony of training. Also, you don't have to look for parking! I'm also very impressed by the people I've met locally in the community. Respectful of people and places, and with a fine eye for beauty. I was at first put off by the secrecy/lack of trust, and just wanted everyone to take him(or her)self less seriously. I quickly realized the error of my ways - especially my naïveté about the willingness of a lot of people to ruin a good thing. Besides, secrets are fun! OK, done rambling - cant wait to meet y'all
