Second post here, I've been a lurker for a bit. I got into Urbex last year when I found basically what sums up to be a small valley type thing filled with everything from crystal pepsi bottles to 1950's cars. Overall I've been to very light places like remains of forgotten factories in the woods but that's about it.

Not much to explore in NY where I am at the moment.

G'day,

Uexer from melbourne, australia. Mostly did rooftops up until very recently where i've started doing drains and abandos but I still prefer roofs, I just don't have the balls or enjoy the high risk of being caught anymore.

You can see a lot of my explores on my instagram page but i'll post some full writeups once I figure out what the most appropriate place to post is.

To many of you I'm still a noob, but I recently did my 50th spot, which I think is pretty solid for 6 months of exploring.

Anyways, it's good to be here and hope to be able to add to the forum in a positive manner!

Hey Everyone, I'm a guy from Colorado who loves to climb things and explore new places. I started with roofs and construction sites, and now that I've found this forum, I'm moving on to other things. Happy Explorations, and I look Forward to meeting others of the organization.

Hey Urbexers,

New guy here from North Texas. Been exploring pretty much all of my life in some capacity. My grandmother and aunt actually used to take me into abandoned homes in older ghost towns before I even hit the teenage years. My activity is pretty hit or miss, depending on my time. I never thought much to take photos of my journeys, so I don't have a lot of content to share. But, a renewed interest that sparked back up within the last year or two should get me out more. I've done the usual stuff; barns, houses, hotels, a few industrial spots, and a few ghost towns in and around North Texas.

I grew up in a tiny, little farming town...so, i'm pretty comfortable with 'rural' exploration. The urban side of things is new to me, so I'm more out in the backroads and forgotten farms on the area.

What else? I'm 40, married, twin toddlers, work in a computer nerd job (but want to get into either saving these old places from destruction or do something productive with them if they are going down). Former Army Desk-Jockey stationed in Virginia the entire time, where i did zero exploring. Visit New England quite a bit and hope to explore more out of state. (i actually got stung by wasps at an old barn in Branson, MO last summer and ten minutes later ran into a squatter living in a shell of a burned down house....crazy day)

In any event, just wanted to give an intro and that I hope to have some great stuff to share soon. In the meantime, here are some pics of a church and it's piano (located in a next-door pavilion), which is all that remains of a former town. 1.

Hey hows it going? I've been exploring abandoned places for quite some time, but I've just recently gotten into photography. I have some great shots from some places around Florida. I live in Orlando so naturally I will be getting shots of things in the central Florida area. I hope to meet many new people on here. Hope to see you around.

Hey guys. New member here, been exploring for quite some time. In the last couple years I've gotten a lot more serious about the photography aspect of things and keeping track of spots. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt, the serenity of the spaces, and imagining its past life.

As an architect, I love the space of a place more than the small details of decay, which is why I'm not too infatuated by abandoned homes. Anything with relics or impressions of human activity is a huge plus, though, so I tend to rank industrial sites fairly low. Civic sites and churches are some of my favorites. At the end of the day, however, I'll explore pretty much anything.

I'm also a big fan of anything outdoors, from backpacking, to SCUBA, to caving.

I'm going to work on uploading to a flickr account soon, in the meantime, you can find me on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pongooleboy/

Hi, I'm Zerber. I was into urbex in my old area, did my own exploring in a few really abandoned spots (definitely not big city/high activity spots), went to a few buildings in other countries (I've moved a lot, so Ukraine/Portugal/Canada) I recently moved to the Greater Toronto Area and due to my new and busy schedule wanted to find some good spots with less time spent searching, and I seem to have found you guys! I'm not stellar at forums, but I'll definitely try to go to meets and keep up here. :)

Hey everyone, my name is Scott and I'm a freshman in college studying in Denton, Texas (aCaw). I'm a music student so in what little free time I have, I've started checking out some of urbex locations that northern Texas has to offer. Originally I'm from southwest Ohio so I'll be able to check out spots back home as well during breaks. One of my friends that I always explore with is really into photography so I hope to post some pictures on her behalf in the future.

I really haven't done much urban exploration in the past. I always loved exploring the woods near my house when I was younger but that's about it. Since starting college, my friends and I have realized that we don't really like the party scene so when a classmate mentioned this website a few months ago, we started spending our Friday nights in nearby storm drains.

My main goal signing up for this website is to learn ways to find new locations from other members and possibly finding other people to explore with. Feel free to message me if you're nearby!

Hey there, I signed up for UER recently and figured it's about time to introduce myself! I've been pretty busy with school but hope to be posting more soon.

I'm originally from Toronto and have done limited exploring / photography there and in rural southwestern Ontario. I moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario, about six months ago and have found it to be very interesting so far! I've checked out some of the buildings in the downtown area (historic downtown, not the tourist district) and have gone up on the bridge near Park St., if any of you know where that is.

I use a Canon 60D and my iPhone, and should be getting a compact point-and-shoot soon for easier access.

Hi I'm Jacob, or as most people call me on the interwebs "dropcik". I'm a long time urban explorer and photographer. I live in Florida, more specifically Citrus county. I've been exploring since 2010 but only started taking pictures in 2013. The 2 cameras I use are my Pentax Q and Pentax K20D, whenever I shoot film I use a Pentax spotmatic F and Cannon rebel XS. I have a flickr if anyone wants to check it out. I've been busy with work so there is not much on there at the moment. https://www.flickr...tos/138463579@N05/

Hi! I'm Margaret. I'm 18 and I'm currently living in Atlanta. I'm young but I've always been taking photos, doing portraits and family photos as well. I have a love of ending up in places I'm not necessarily supposed to be, so exploring is definitely one my favorite things.
I signed up for this website so I can find more places to explore, expand my photo portfolio, and meet people who are interested in exploring with me. Message me if you're from Atlanta and want to talk about places to go!

Hello!
My name is Matt, I'm 24, and reside in Madison,Wisconsin. I disc golf for fun and competitively. I travel around the Midwest (including AZ, CO, FL and TN. I find myself often looking for places to explore. Not much urban exploring to be done in Madison, but there is rural exploring.
I'm looking for new friends to explore, chill, maybe even disc with! So hey everyone!

Hi! My name is Myah and I float around southern BC and Alberta! I have been snooping around sites for about 3 years now and am super excited to find out about more place to check out! I will say I'm a bit of a stickler for rules, but recently I've been dying to explore some ghost towns and the likes for a while now so if you have any info hit me up!!
I also adore taking pictures, and just upgraded from the fabulous iPhone 3G camera (remarkable, right?) to a Nikon Coolpix (very high budget) and Im excited to share all of my nice, new, and slightly more professional looking photographs with everyone!
My favourite spots to explore are old amusement parks (water parks, go kart tracks, fun houses and the like), ghost towns, and barns (these are plentiful in my neck of the woods). I also absolutely love places with interesting histories and I will spend hours researching before going on outings just to get even a few more inches of context!!
If you want to chat, share pics, or even spread details feel free to drop me a line!

Hello All,

I'm based in the Bay Area in California, although I'm fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit and see other parts of the country and world. I've always been drawn to abandoned buildings and their inherent mystery, but never quite took to plunge to actually explore. Hoping to improve my photography skills and get out there soon. Feel free to message me if you're interested in exploring together.

Best,
cyberPUNK

Hello. We are two (a couple, hooray!) of urban explorers from Portugal, Lisbon area.
We've been exploring for some years, mainly abandoned buildings with historical interest.
I'm the logistics/equipment/skills guy, my wife is the photograph specialist and the one that says "We probably shouldn't go there...". I understand metal, she understand concrete, we both know a few things about wood.

We've been at some great locations, but mainly "mainstream" stuff. There was only one location where we felt that wasn't all that much explored, since it wasn't vandalized and it only had minor signs of infiltration. Maybe it will be new around here.

We hope to learn a lot from the experience of others, and maybe someone can learn something from us.

Happy hunting! Cheers.

New guy in Arizona! i'm not new to Urban Exploration but im new to the community. I'm a very practiced Parkour athlete, i've won a couple medals in comps, so i've got a ton of movement experience and i've been involved in those groups for a long time, and would now like to get more involved in the UE community.

I'm not a very good photographer, have not got fancy cameras, just a smart phone and if i can find the charger, a mediocre camera. i'm mostly interested in gathering information and expanding locations for other people, and finding decent locations for myself.

It would be excellent if anyone viewing this post would chat with me. i've got a lot of questions and would love to chat about this with other people because my knit of explorers is small and as experienced if not less than i.

New to this website, new to urbex. I'm a female from outside of Charlotte, NC, and have done eight explores so far. I have a little point and shoot camera, my license, and a pack with some exploring supplies. I'm really looking forward to learning the ropes from this community.

Here's a bad quality resized photograph from one of my only large explores.
