[My topic]
What are your morals in exploration? Do you believe in the absolute preservation of a site or is making a small mark or taking a small mementos okay on occasions? When was a time you questioned or even broke your own morals?

When I first started exploring I took the saying "Only take photos, only leave footprints." to heart. But the more buildings I get into the harder I find it to keep true to my original morals. A great example is I recently had to kick some plywood open to gain access to a building which was being prepared for demolition, my justification was it is going to be demolished so preservation wasn't as valued as an abandoned building would've been. (All a fictional made up story, of course.)

UER is a website, it has rules and TOS, it does not however impose morality on its members.

If you want to be known in this community for taking "mementos" and post in a public forum about forced entry that's your choice. Free choice.

Good luck. I mean good lock..

I mean, why kick it? Was that really the only option? Making noise and grand movements? Removing a board isn't that big of a deal if it's returned afterwards imo.
