Good morning ladies and gentleman My name is Matt, often accompanied by the Sonja.

I (we) are light UrbEx hobbyists at this point in time who have decided that it might be more fun to go into some places instead of just admiring them from afar. I have had a blast scouring this forum and do hope you all don't mind my random impositions into your topics.

We are located in Kansas City / Lawrence, KS area and would love to meet like minded individuals.

Aye, my name is Jordan. I'm from Millbrae/San Francisco, and I started doing all of this exploring stuff a few months ago, and have been every weekend since. My friends and I were always hella adventurous as kids, so trying all this new stuff out was really natural for us.

We first started exploring the surrounding areas for just like hikes and whatnot, and that eventually transitioned into "urban exploring".

Our first trip was a bit basic - Byron's hotel in the middle of nowhere, and about a mile walk. But since then, we learned how to sneak into "seemingly" sealed off buildings; tracked down drains filled with graffiti through maps, and just basically keeping a eye out for anything and everything.

Just researching places online itself is fun. I've used UER of course, Youtube, Reddit (/r/urbanexploration, /r/abandonedporn), and word of mouth. And because a lot of the time the specific location isn't mentioned, we have to cross reference our sources.

I look forward to joining/participating in this community.

Hello. I'm Chris and I'm old. That being said, I've been doing urban exploration since 2000 in the form of ghost hunting. I have 17 years in the field of paranormal investigation. I live in Houston, Texas. I am a huge lover of local and state history as well as antiquities. I'm also an amateur relic hunter, avid camper and hiker, a former Boy Scout and an urban prepper. I would love to meet people in my area. I am a firm believer of taking nothing but photographs and leaving nothing but footprints. Hope I can make a few friends with the same like minded thinking. Thank you for letting me join and have an awesome day.

hey i'm adriana, not new to urbex but new to the forum. I live in ireland but also spend my time in the SF bay area and Long Island NY. Mostly joined the forum to find new places near me and check current statuses of locations. i take pictures with my canon t3 and occasionally on a polaroid 215 from the 60s bc I am ~aesthetic~. My first urbex was my moms old school in queens when I was 11. my fav locations are large institutional buildings like hospitals and schools, but I'll take what i can get. i currently urbex w/ my dad bc i am a scared lil bitch. hope to post some cool stuff in the near future.

I'm Logan and I recently got into urbex in the last year, although I've done little of it. I am located in Wisconsin and have done some exploring in both Wisconsin and South Dakota. I usually go with a group of friends who I trust to just take in the sights and take pictures, without destroying or stealing things. I have stuck to smaller buildings in the past, but have just recently done a big location in Wisconsin with another member on this site (and IRL friend). I have also done an abandoned mining facility and a couple mining caves in South Dakota, but it was a smaller exploration due to paths being caved in.

Hello everyone,

First I want to say that, while not exactly new, I am just starting to get back into this as I now have the time and resources to dedicate. I am based in Dallas, TX and I explore with my girlfriend. I'd like to meet some new people and find some new locations as I find it hard to find places that are interesting to me, as I don't know anyone in person that I share this interest with and I haven't dedicated myself to it. I'm mostly interested in hunting down new/undiscovered sites that present some historical interest. I think the hunt is part of the fun.

Anyway, If anyone is in the local area and feels like meeting up, DM me.

Welcome! I noticed you're in DFW and wanted to give you a heads up... we're trying to get our local meet-ups up and running again and have an event scheduled for Saturday, 7-1-17 (a week from now) in Fort Worth if you're free and interested. Check out the "event" section for more info!

Cheers,

I recently picked up on urban exploration a few years back after a friend of mine introduced me to some locations around my area (Spartanburg South Carolina), needless to say I was hooked. ive been photographing my exploration trips and i cant wait to share them with you guys! I work a lot so it might be a day or two before I can get around to it. Also! if anyone is located near me, we could possibly trade location secrets! Looking forward to getting to know a lot of you!

Hello all! My name is Robert and i'm from North Carolina!

Over the past 6 years or so, I've taken an interest into photography and videography. With this and spending waaay too much time on youtube, i found out about Urbex! I've gone through a couple of places with friends before but didnt know it had such a large community behind it. Combining the two I've developed a love for photographing old, abandoned places! I've also formed a photography Instagram page with a good friend of mine, @rzvis.

Outside of photography, i have an interest in computers (PCMR lol), cars, and just being handy.

If anyone is around my area and wants to meet up for an explore, shoot me a message on here on on the Instagram page above!

Hope to get to know alot of new people and explore many new places! Thanks!

hey man! i noticed you were located in NC! i followed you on instagram, my name is the_assman (lol) me and my buddy are big into exploration, cars, and photography ourselves! love the work!

Im Bill in Atlanta. I started exploring in 1983 with the womens prison/stockade being my first explore. I was on here with another ID but cant get in so I started a new one. Now that I am no longer married I CAN make meeting and not have drama. I lost a lot of images due to a garage flood we had but I still have digital going back to 2005.

enjoy a random gallery of some places. I have around 100 locations I still track and am looking for more. I just did a ten years apart series on one location with more in store in the future.1.

Hi everyone, my name is Bernard. I'm currently living in Quebec Canada and I have recently started in Urban exploration, I've also started a YouTube channel showing my explorations, but fairly new.

I'm here to meet fellow explorers and to contribute as much as I can. But right now it's kind of hit and miss finding places, and it's usually my fluke getting these locations, so please be patient with me posting new stuff.

If anyone would like to meet up or contribute and collaborate, let me know.

Enjoy some images here of my first place. The place is much bigger and I need to go back to see if I can get into the rest of the place. I nearly got caught, seen the security out front just as I was passing with my vehicle.

I nearly gave up on this one but I had to crawl threw some barbed wire to find a door that was actually open.

In this image below shows a hole in the wall, on the other side is more of the warehouse. I yet have to explore this.

I have more photos, but they are general warehouse pics. Once I go back and get more from the rest of the building, I'll be sure to do another update for you all.

Hello everyone! I am a 21 year old from Edmonton AB, Canada. I have been lurking this forum for a while but never actually got around to doing any exploring of my own. Last night I decided to give it another shot and take it seriously this time and so today I found my first location! I will be posting a detailed thread with all the pictures that I took very shortly.

Hey guys, Ive actually been a member for a couple years but after a little coaxing from some other members that I frequently go on adventures with Ive decided to become more active here and hope to soon be recognized as an established explorer. So a little bit about me..Ive been doing this for several years but had no idea it was a "thing" and that so many others were into as well. Im a mature responsible adult and I have respect for each and every location I tread upon. Vandalism infuriates me although I do enjoy GOOD graffiti as long as it is in a fitting place. I am a bit older than most of you and not in as good of shape as I used to be so you wont catch me climbing 10 foot walls or hanging off the sides of buildings but I still keep up fairly well. I live in Ft Worth Texas where we have or have had some pretty decent abandonments. I still visit some of the same spots over and over when I feel the need for a quick fix but I also have been branching out across the state and into Oklahoma every chance I get. I recently went to my first group meeting at which there several newer people. We all enjoyed meeting and chatting before moving on to a couple local locations. I hope you meet more of you in the future.

This is just a suggestion: Try posting these (or the update you mentioned) on your regional forum. That way you can get feedback from people in your area and you'll get a lot more responses too.
And welcome to UER!
