So this is a pretty cool spot that one of my friends showed me at the very end of last summer. After going up on the single lane catwalk which is about 130 feet (~40m) high and spans over the Don River and the DVP around ten times this summer while biking the trails during the day I finally made it up at night with a decent camera. I took a friend who was new-ish to climbing and was eager to get down so I couldn't take to many photos or take a long exposure time-lapse like I wanted to, but at least that gives me an excuse to go again. If you are interested in going up and taking a look I highly recommend it, it's great for first-timers and veterans alike because you can stay on the catwalk or be a bit more adventurous. I will warn you though that out of the 10 or so times I have been up 3 or 4 of those times I have run into other people. So far everyone has been cool just walked past, said I was going to take some photos and they just ignored me, still try to go with a friend. Also, a homeless guy national camps just past where the Don River is so careful, haven't run into them yet tho. Hope you enjoy my photos. Go visit my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/toronto.climb/ to see the full resolution photos as well as other cool stuff.

Wow, dude all of the photos are sick, but especially the long exposure one of the DVP, incredible. I wanted to set up a shot like that, but my friend was anxious to leave and wasn't the greatest photographer so ill definitely have to head up there again. Just curious, have you ever gone across half mile bridge (i think that is what it is called). The one that goes over Bayview and is near the Brickworks, I have heard great things about it and would love to check it out!

Hey, do you mean this one? If so, I've never went on it but I did see it a couple of times while driving under.

This track is the same railway as the one I climbed earlier this year, reeeaaally something to see and climb if you feel confident enough. I'm about to make a post of it soon (Video + Pictures). I can take you there one day, however we have to hurry before it gets too cold.

Yea I think that's it. I believe that user ESCAP3 has been on it before, apparently, it's fairly simple.

Dude, I'd be down to do some bridge climbs. Have you tried any on the Humber? There's quite a few tall ones on that river as well. I've got a DSLR now, and I'd like to practice my long exposure photography.

One day I got a good camera.

Well let's meetup someday then, I'm free every Fridays and Saturdays and weekdays past 8pm I can practice and show you some little things about long exposures.
