And for good reason - neither one of them has much to offer.
But I like to explore anything, just in case. And I like the challenge of seeing if I can make at least some kind of photographic interest out of an otherwise useless spot, so please let me know if I succeeded in any way. And who knows, maybe you have always wondered what the inside of one of these two looked like. I can't make a statement like that or use the title of this thread without identifying these ones, so here goes...

First up, sitting atop Centennial Parkway on the edge of Hamilton Mountain is this previous commercial building. If anyone remembers what this place actually was, please let me know so I can put a proper title on my photo directory for it.

It looks like the property owner was trying to redo the place (eg. two really nice bathroom sinks with plastic wrap still on the doors) but they must have given up. Strangely the place is entirely open to the elements and yet the basement light is still on.

Next up, over to Cayuga, and to that wrecked little HVAC business at the bridge that must have been driven by a dozen times during the "Lee-House-Days". It was a very convenient place for the bridge construction crew to park for the last two years. Now that the roadwork is finished, it has gone back to its lonely state.

I certainly agree with your mindset, especially in Toronto where you don't have much to pick from.

Great set!

One day I got a good camera.

Yes, I remember there were a few earlier explorers on separate occasions getting busted by the owner there. I think that was probably the reason that it ended up being a drive-by for me for a while. But he must have since given up because the busted up POEs look like they've been that way for some time.

I still don't get the power though.
Skye's right... who pays??? Is there a point where an abandoned place can just drop off the hydro grid and have charges forgiven?

Love the perspective on that lightswitch, I thought it was a hanging picture until realization struck.

My guess for the underpants would be kraft dinner became sentient and battled Lynard Skynard for world dominance and those are the remnants of that battle....

Nicely captured!

If I'm thinking of the right place, the first building was once a diner; those old school places where you could park your car and you get your food served to you in the car. For the longest time they had these 1970s era curtains hanging in the window. Closed prob some time in the 1970s, it was closed whenever my family went by the place on the way to the Devil's Punchbowl Market.

Yes I used to live near there-that's what I was told by other locals.

Nice pics GS I am guilty of driving by them too. Tried to get in first one back when it was more monitored and had no luck, and the second used to be quite busy with the bridge work.

Thanks for the tours!
