Hello all! My name is Shad, and I'm new to both urbex and UER.

A little about me? well, I'm 20 year old, and I'm currently going to college for diesel and heavy equipment maintenance with the goal of working my way from entry-level technician all the way up the lead field- or lead shop technician. I currently reside in Pahrump, NV (about 60 miles west of Las Vegas, for any who may not know). I am an amateur photographer, currently using my Samsung Galaxy S8+, shooting in pro-mode with .DNG RAW photo files to edit). Soon I will be purchasing a Sony A6300 mirrorless camera and some other various accessories to go with it, but I'm sure nobody here cares about camera and editing gear, right? 😝

This, as most could probably figure, is my very first post! 😃

My first urbex related post will come very soon, as next weekend (August 24th thru 26th, 2018) I will be visiting Rhyolite (just outside of Beatty, NV), the infamous (and currently be renovated) Goldfield Hotel, possibly the old Goldfield theater, and finally, a couple of small abandoned mining buildings and A-Frame in Tonopah, NV.

I will be using my time in between classes, and semesters, to adventure and hopefully explore as many abandoned places as I can!

Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to getting to meet many of you and many future explorations!

Peace ✌️

Hi there, born and raised in Tampa FL but relocated to nashville TN about 2 years ago. Have always had a curiosity bug. Got into geocaching last year which has led me to explore each and every corner of Tennessee. There's a bit of crossover with geocaching, I noticed a very adventurous geocache location (a giant tunnel underneath Nashville accessible from the Cumberland river) featured on the "abandonednashville" instagram page. Scrolling through the pictures there got my mind spinning, and I would love to go exploring at some of these hidden treasures so close to home. I might have a place or two to share myself if they aren't already listed here.
Cheers

I visit lots of cool places through geocaching and post media of some of the cooler spots on my instagram, feel free to check it out here:

would love to meet up with anyone local to Nashville sometime.

Hello. I have not done urbex before, but have been flipping through photos for years. Being from Saskatchewan, I occasionally see abandoned homesteads/barns while highway driving but have never cared to record their locations. I am not familiar with any actual urban areas to explore and have joined this forum in an attempt to find some. I apologize for any "noobyness".

One thing I would like to bring up is that the Noob Introductions thread listed in the FAQs points to an old archived thread. I had to hunt a little for this one.

Hey everyone! I have been exploring for years (well since Opacity.us was a thing) but just now found this site! While I was exploring in Marina, California, someone noticed me and told me to check this site out, so if you are that guy and are reading this, message me!

About me:

I live in Sonora, California but travel around the country quite frequently. I used to explore abandoned buildings to document graffiti, since I was heavily into street art and lettering, but over time I have developed a passion for filming or photographing the abandoned! My favorite places to explore are the old cabins in the forests near where I live. I actually work in the forest for the majority of the year and have the opportunity to seek out new locations on a daily basis.

I hope to become a fairly active member on this site and hope to join some of you on adventures in the future! If anybody ever finds themselves in the Sonora area, be sure to hit me up!

-Aaron

Hello my name is Ben and i'm not exactly new too urbex, but I am new to this site so I figured I should post here. I'm 17 years old almost 18. I'm limited in areas I can explore I usually go around the chicagoland area, as well as the surrounding states whenever possible. I'm looking for people to help me explore with and help find new locations. I don't have the best gear for pictures and videos but I have fun anyway. I hope to find active explorers and find other people to join me on my adventures!

Howdy guys! I made an account here a few years back and never really used it. I had an urban exploration adventure again recently though and it's re-sparked my interest in it! I hope to stick around this time and get to know some of you guys, maybe share some of my pictures and experiences! This seems like a cool community and a great resource.

Hey all!

My name is Parker! I'm 24 years old, and I've lived in the Denver Metro area since about 2016. It's been several years since I've done any exploration. To be honest, I've only explored a handful of sites in my hometown and probably only spent about 50 hours total exploring these locations. I'm hoping to get a chance to check out some areas near me (Gilman is the spot I'm hoping for, but we'll see) before the end of September and post some pics! I'm really hoping this site and it's members can help me grow my passion for exploration and respect for just observing the world we live in. If there's any spots in Denver Metro that are easy and/or relatively "safe" to do, I'd love to check em out just to get my feet in the water again. Thanks for everyone who posts all these amazing journeys!

Hey guys. My name is Gabriel, and I have been really into U.E. for about a year now. it all began when I was in first grade, I remember walking past a opera house in Marion, Ohio to get to a museum. as soon as I saw the opera house, I immediately stopped and looked in the widows. I remember being very enthralled with it and really wanting to see the inside. There were papers all over the ground and I wanted to read every single one of them.

Flash forward a couple of years and I became increasingly interested in history. i had started watching videos about abandoned mansions, but pretty much forgot about it after a couple of weeks.I eventually found Dan bell and instantly became a fan of the true horror feel of some of these places. My father took me to a place in Columbus to satisfy my curiosity. After that, its been one of my favorite thing and I do it when ever i get the chance.

I came across this website not to long ago,and pretty much have been looking through it since. Its nice to be able to talk to like minded people considering there are not many in my area. I will try to post pictures when ever I can. This has probably gone on for long enough. I'll stop typing now.

We're gonna get there. We don't need a whereabouts.

Hey! New member here! I'm currently living in the south, but I've lived all over the US (CA, TX, OR, CO, HI, AL, TN, GA). I love exploring and just recently decided to start taking pictures of my adventures in a more serious way. I like hiking and the outdoors as well, so finding abandoned cars and stuff in the woods is cool...but my favorite thing is abandoned buildings for sure because you can almost feel the existence even though it's not there anymore. I love finding and looking through old paperwork or seeing old pictures and stuff like that. I've recently began traveling to different states on the weekends to explore because most of the places around me are getting old, so I figured I'd join this site and can maybe meet some people with similar interests.

Hello everyone My name is Paul, Im just a dude from NY.

I'm new to urban exploration, I remember watching creepy videos about abandoned places as a kid, and later being introduced to the exploration on youtube. I found it pretty interesting in my early high school years. By the end of my senior year in hs, me and my friends decided to go to a place called Creedmoor Psychiatric. There was an abandoned psychiatric center inside the active premises and we wanted to explore. I didn't find the place creepy considering it was an abandoned psychiatric center, it was pretty cool and I wanted to go further, but we worried about security and left pretty early, we only stayed for like 6 minutes. Once we got outside we had security waiting for us and they told us off, it was a bust. After seeing a glimpse of exploration, I really want to do more, but I want to do it right this time.

Nice to meet you all!

A new member living in Houston, TX!

22 yr old b&w film photographer

I just moved back here after a few years in Austin and am looking for a fun person or group of people to go exploring in and around this wonderful city with.

I've only really been exploring a few times and that's mostly because my only option has been to go alone and that's not super safe so if you're also a lone explorer who wants a buddy, message me!

xxx

Hi,

I'm Taorong. I spend my first 18 years of life in China and I just arrived at New York last month. I've been doing urban exploration for a long time. When I was in China, I've been to abandoned hotels, abandoned factories, abandoned constructions, and some rooftops. Right now I'm studying in a college and am gonna stay in New York for at least 4 years. I hope I could make some new friends and continue my exploration here.

Hello friends! My name is Jennifer, I'm in the deep south (Lower Alabama, near the Gulf) and I love exploring. I'm not new to exploring, but I am new to the whole community aspect of it, so I think it'd be really cool to find some locals.

Hey guys ! New-but-not-exactly-new-member here. I'm a 20 years old frenchie, who has been living in Montreal, Canada for 3 years now. I've been really interested in urban exploration (and a lurker on UER)for about 3 years now, but actually have been exploring myself for 1 year and a half. I started in my homeland with our good ol' castles, but since then I had the opportunity to spend half a year in China where, to this day, I visited my favorite spots ever (so many theme parks, it's insane) and I explored a bit in Canada too. And I also have lots of other projects/trips to come. Sooo this is why, now that I have a bit more content and pictures to share, I decided to create an actual active account on here. I hope you will like it !

Here is a ferris wheel in an abandoned theme park in Southern China (sorry for the bad quality, had to compress a lotttt)

Hi Jordan, glad to see another Wisconsin explorer around here. If you ever work your way down to the southern WI area, be sure to let me know! There's plenty of interesting stuff around this state if you know where to look.
