What's up everyone! I created this account a few months ago and have been lurking here and there since. I've been exploring HARD and finally feel like I have some great things to contribute here!

I'm mainly Colorado based, but plan on traveling more in the future. I love using photography to document my adventures!

Hello everyone.

Been doing UE for a while now. Finally mustered enough courage to register here. Software developer by day and you can guess the rest. Also a big fan of seals, hence the profile picture.

Hoping to become a full member in a few months, so you might see me posting around. In the meantime, if anyone wants to discuss UE in Finland, I have a map of my own.

Hello adorb. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to UER and ask that you take a look at the forum rules and to make the polite suggestion that you be careful who you share your map with.

I'm anxious to see your future posts and wish you luck with your FM.

...be careful who you share your map with.

Don't worry, I would only share it with people who are already FM here. I explore with two other people and we all follow the common rules, which include not giving away locations.

EDIT: Also sorry if I came off the wrong way with the map thing. I only meant to imply that I'm not completely green. Just a new face on the forums.

YO!
What’s happening everyone I’m Dave from northeast Ohio, active urbexer in the area. I’ve been exploring for about 4 years now steady so I like to think I’m experienced however I’m not opposed to taking advice and learning something new. I am not a tech savvy individual so honestly I’m probably going to struggle using this form. My intentions here are to meet new like minded people whom I can partner up with for exploring and share and gain some knowledge on how to participate in this hobby safely and responsibly. I DO NOT steal, deface, graffiti, vandalize etc. the structures I explore. Leave it the way you find it. Feel free to pm me if anyone has any questions for me or if your in NE Ohio and need someone who’s familiar with the area.

Greetings, for the longest time I've been to lazy to actually post on a thread so here i am now. I've been exploring for about 2 years now and i am well assured that i deeply enjoy this 'hobby,' From gearing up and sneaking my way through guards to climbing 50 foot ladders to exploring the depths of a concrete jungle of drains. I love Urbex because of my thriving curiosity, photography, adrenaline, spirit of certain landmarks, the history and the aesthetic of decaying structures... I live in Colorado and I explore with a "squad," we're called "russquaad" feel free to check us out on instagram that is were we post our photographs. I absolutely love wearing gear.. i wear a NIOSH p100 respirator mask, full camo, carry a steel crow bar, big green sturdy backpack, binoculars, safety glasses, flashlight, boots, gloves, water bottles and usually a map of wear i'll be exploring. This lets us do our thing with no interruptions... At the end of the day i find more questions than answers to most places i explore which reinforces my curiosity... yet the dark side of things I've seen lurks within my dreams. I love planning every move i make with the gang so we are not met with any issues. Also its enjoyable for me because it hypes me up! Over the past year of being a solid squad we have encounter some very ghostly sighting some of which are for other story's. Over all were a very passionate group about the things we do and how we do them, we love having fun taking pictures, being stealthy, driving to distant places in search of the unknown all at the same growing in the way we truly are which is friendship.

Why rusquaad? Are you Russian?

Also, crowbars are considered tools for breaking and entering, typically frowned upon here on UER. We gain access through social engineering or reverse engineering, not breaking, cutting or lock picking, etc.

So be careful with that approach, and know it’s not exactly the UER way (and should you get caught, having a crowbar is likely to get you in more trouble than it’s worth). There is value in saying “search me, I’m clean”, something you cannot if you’re packing steel.

Hallo, mein Name ist Kohlton. I am German, However I don’t know too much on the speaking side of it. I was born in the US, (Father was German and I gained a lot on his side in the genetics) and now am in SC. I love gaming and Parkour. Me and a friend of mine(Name not wanted to be Disclosed) created this account almost a year ago and we would just like to say Hi! and hope that we will be able to explore places and post about adventures me or my friend have had. Also I am somewhat skilled in lock picking.I looked in the FAQ and other places but couldn’t see anything besides a post saying something about Crowbars being not allowed/Frowned on. Also I like to stay overnight at places and leave in the morning as a challenge or so I can fully explore.

Thx for listening and I hope everyone has a fun time exploring.

P.S. My friend Is Lesbian, and I Support it!

Hello!

I got into urbex because I was trying to study for finals, but my mind wandered to YouTube. I came across urban exploration and became intrigued. There happened to be an abandoned military base/radar tower next to my newly built vacation home, so I decided to explore it that summer. Once I set foot in there, I became hooked.

I'm a full time student, but on my free time, I enjoy developing iOS apps, working on little projects with Arduino/Raspberry Pi, and creating my animated Christmas light show. I'm also on an FRC team.

Nice to be here with y'all!

Hey guys, My name is Glen and I'm studying physics and theoretical math here in Omaha, Nebraska. I've been doing small scale stuff for a long time and have been wanting to break into the big leagues for a while. I have some photos from forever ago that I'll post at some point. Hey! I’m Chelsea, 26 year old weird mom/wife from Windsor Ontario. I’m new to this site, but not other sites or exploring. I have content I’d like to share, but I’m unsure of how this site works so far. I’m trying to get familiar with it so that I can gain FM.

We’re going to be going to Maine in the summer and I’d like to see what kind of (respectful) shenanigans I can get into while I’m there!

Also, every photo I try to upload from my phone is “too big”. So much confusion! Haha

Instead of clicking the "Attach an Image" button when you are creating a post, use the "Quick Gallery Creator". The "Attach an Image button is an older photo uploader and you have to manually resize photos before you upload. If you check the rescale image box on the "Quick Gallery Creator" tool, it will automatically rescale the images.

Alternatively, you can host the images from another website to keep the original quality.

Welcome to UER

File size using the attached image button has to be under under 100 kb.
If you're loading off an Android there a couple good down sizer apps, many more for Windows.

Once you upload the images, change the "pic" to "inp" in the image prefix to display a full image rather than a click on thumb nail.

Greetings, my fellow Earthlings.

I didn't really want to post in this thread because it's sooooooooo freakin long, but oh well. I'm vain.
I'm 28 and living in Oregon - this is the 4th state I've lived in. I grew up in Colorado, where I got started urbexing way before I knew it was called that. I didn't get seriously hooked until I moved to Portland and got my first decent (okay it was crappy, whatever) camera. I love photography, but I stay humble about it because I'm not exactly willing to pay much for equipment. I don't normally edit photos - if they suck, they suck, but I love looking at memories.
My favorite explores are industrial sites. I like poking through trash (dumpsters are great, so are squats) and critiquing graffiti. I've never been rooftopping, and it doesn't have much of an appeal - draining does, minimally, but I've yet to set out just to hit pipes/catacombs/whathaveyous. I vacation in the Southwest sometimes, and love the old mining towns, but prefer the ones where BLM isn't maintaining. I enjoy decay and watching nature reclaim our discarded buildings.

I also like birding, so catch me in that sewage lagoon! (That's a birding joke about being willing to trespass into nasty places for rare finds.) Here's a silly scrub jay that I shot from my old neighborhood bando prior to its demolition:

Hi!!!

I'm somewhat new to this hobby. I've explored a few houses, bridges, stations, and drains, but I don't get to explore much because I'm in Denver and also my friends aren't into the hobby and I hate to go alone. In the spring or whenever we get a warm day, I've convinced a friend to come with me and give it a try. Any locations within an hour from Denver or more specifically Aurora would be really helpful.
