| | | This is the "new normal", a whole generation that feels entitled to locations, has no problem trying to make you feel guilty for not giving out locations, and is happy to post address on TikTok (at least in the Chicago area). Sadly they think that putting and address in Waze constitutes finding a location. I've tried to educate some, but to be honest, since March 2019 I have focused on getting permission from owners to shoot their properties. I've opted not to post the full money shots on IG and posted cropped shots, so it's harder to find the locations. The truth is, once you post a shot you open that location to being found. I've got a small circle of those I share full frame photos with or those who are smart enough to follow me on Flickr, which rules out about 98% of those who follow me on IG. I'm totally not hitting as many places these days, but with the pandemic I don't really mind. There are way more police cars on the streets in Chicago and since March it seems like everyone is out and about on the streets. I've also been one of those who has made it difficult to get into places, reported "kids" to law enforcement when they have stupidly posted videos of them vandalizing and tresspassing under their own names on FB and YouTube, and I also, in some cases, after myself and others have shot in locations gone ahead and called the owners/property managers and reported seeing people exiting locations so they will get sealed up.
