Hey! I'm new to Urban Exploration but have been super intrigued by it for years. Finally going to start exploring. Currently located in the Denver Colorado area so if anyone has any tips or suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Hi everyone!

I'm from near Boston and have been into urbex for about 5 years. I started in Japan where I wrote about abandoned places for a few English publications. Now that I'm back in the States, it's been a challenge to connect with the community... thus joining here. Also a mom of two so my hobby is seen as irresponsible at times ;)

One of my favorite urbex sites was actually my first: Nara Dreamland in Japan. It has since been demolished but it was a dream to sit on a loop of a rollercoaster (see my profile picture). Most recently went to an abandoned horse racetrack in Vermont.

Hope to connect with some locals to explore!

Hey there, you can call me Veylia (v-ayy-lee-uh) or Vey for short. I'm from Vermont but now studying aerospace engineering in Western New York.

I'm into cars, computers, and some casual photography. I enjoy exploring desolate and well persevered places and have been doing so for a couple years now, just now stumbled upon this forum! I've found some cool gems that I'm hoping to eventually share with everyone. Looking forward to meeting some more people in my area and get to know more fellow explorers. I tossed in some of my photos from my old trips. Cheers!

hello, i’ve posted some explores here a few times but never introduced myself. i’m underground, currently live in kansas but drive all over the place for the sake of this hobby. i’m currently a pilot and fly out of our local GA airport here, and use planes for scouting and finding new locations a lot of the time! outside of urbex i do a bit of mechanical work and some investing.

Veylia--

Oh fun! I was just in Vermont myself a few weeks ago and visited an abandoned racetrack. Looks sort of like your first photo but unsure

That racetrack in my photos is (to my knowledge) the only racetrack in VT. Not gonna drop the location, but it sounds as though we've been to the same place ;)

Hi all, new member here currently located in Fort Collins, CO.

I've done some exploring on my own here and there. Recently I've been checking out the drains in around town and planning some big trips for summer.

I've previously explored lots of ghost towns and mines in AZ and a handful of factories and complexes in
FL when I was living elsewhere.

I'm looking to expand my horizons and check out some new spots, if anyone is in the northern Colorado area hit me up and we can do some exploring.

I'll be making a post in the local forum pretty soon with an old water treatment plant I recently explored, cheers!

Hello everyone, I go by Nothing and have been urbexing for around a year now. I'm based in the Vancouver area, and my favourite spots to explore are train yards and construction sites. I'm also into train surfing, parkour, and street art.

Hello. That's a nice-looking photo from where I'm sitting - though it's tilted of course. But this ain't the photo critique forum, so I'll shut up.

I just hope that other photo isn't something you tag on abandonments, because you'll get a lot of flak here otherwise. I don't personally much mind hobo graffiti on rail cars and such, but graffiti and urbex don't mix as a rule.

But what do I really know? I'm just a n00b too (:

Yeah the photo was a bit rushed, but hey I like it. I don't paint on abandonments or historic sites at all, only parking garages/other blank ugly concrete. I paint to make art, not spoil and mark up what's underneath

Then it belongs on a canvas. Your "art" doesn't need to be force fed to me when I park my car or walk my dog. Looks more like garden variety vandalism than art to me. Good luck with that.

Gone to a few places around California, Iowa, and Hawai'i - hope to do more. And hope to find people to go explore with too! Alot more fun when it's not spooky alone time.

Heyo everyone!! My name's Amanda and I'm near the Boston, MA area exploring places mostly on the central/ eastern part of the state. I haven't been to a huge ton of places but I've made a list and am DYING to go through it! I just don't have a lot of friends who share the same passion so finding this site has been amazing!! Just a little bit of background, I work in the video game industry and have always been a creative person who loves photography and capturing moments in time. I'm a little hesitant to meet up with people but if there are others out there who go for the less crazy abandoned places, I'm down to give it a try
