Hello, my name is Jenna.

I used to go exploring quite a bit in Pennsylvania, but never anything formal, or with any decent equipment.

I'm currently hitch hiking around America. Last week I was in San Francisco. I explored a few easy to find spots there and took some mediocre pictures with my cracked up cell phone.

It was exhilarating! I squeezed through a barely human sized gap at the top of a jail window, and I completely risked my life free climbing a water tower. I will make a full post of this shortly.

I've got the itch hard. And I have a little disposable cash, so I'm going to buy myself a decent camera, headlamp, etc, maybe even get into a little lockpicking.

As I travel around the country I'd like to explore all of the abandoned sites I find. I'd like to push myself physically, take risks, break rules. You know.

Happy to be here!

Hello!

My name is Merci, I’m a non-binary urbex enthusiast in the US (specifically FL) that only lurked until very recently. I have started to actually explore places and I’m looking forward to posting my finds! But I’ve been an avid fan of urban exploration content and the community for about 3 years now.

Happy to be here:3

Hello!

My real name isn't Thisis MiNombre but it's one of the names I go by. I'm currently out in the East San Francisco Bay Area suburbs but I'll probably be moving elsewhere within the next year. I guess I first became interested in this stuff because I like regional history, photography, and old stuff in general and exploring abandoned buildings and old bits of infrastructure dovetailed with those interests.

I've explored some abandoned railroads, gone a few feet into some drainage tunnels, and explored some abandoned buildings n ruins but I'm definitely a rookie. I've lurked around this site occasionally but I mostly find things from old maps and research.

Happy to be here!

Hey there! My name is Nick, and I live in Fort Worth, Texas. I'm not new to urban exploration, per se, but I am new to *participating* in urban exploration. I recently moved out here after coming out to my parents in California to, well, less than fanfare, and have been exploring my long forgotten interests since.

Again, I don't have much experience, but I'm excited to meet people from this fascinating community and start my own journey.

Hello, my name is Samantha, and I currently live in the brant county, Ontario. I am new to urban exploration, but my experiences so far have been mixed. It is difficult to find abandoned places on my own. I look forward to partaking in the urban explores community, and to helping others find cool places I visit.

Hey, you can call me eel. I'm 17 years old and I live a little ways NW of Boise, ID. I've been into Urbex since around 2019 but I only really discovered the community now. If you wanna get real technical then I guess the majority of the stuff I've done in Idaho would be categorized as Rurex. This past summer I visited some family in Boston and whilst there I was introduced to the wonderful world of infiltration, which gave me a whole new perspective. (though I will say, shit is much harder to get away with in Boise than Boston-- who knew?) For whatever reason, most things that I used to enjoy just aren't fun anymore, but the real sense of adventure I get when exploring a building frozen in time or the thrill of navigating an occupied area I'm technically not supposed to be in is something that I don't think I'll ever get tired of. I recently got a copy of Access All Areas which has definitely kicked my enthusiasm into overdrive. On top of that, just yesterday my buddy and I found what I consider to be my personal magnum opus of cool locations, which I'll probably post about later this week.

Wow, for an intro that kinda dragged on for a while lol. Anyways I'm very glad I stumbled across this site and I look forward to meeting people who share the passion I hold for Urbex, and hopefully learn a thing or two as well.

Hi I'm Alex! I live near Cincinnati in the southwest of Ohio. I've been interested in exploring abandoned stuff for a few years but wasnt able to start until last summer when me and some friend went on a trip down to Portsmouth, OH. Still very new this so I would love to meet up with people in the area and get tips.

Hello to all the new people. ESPear, I'm from the same area also, even though I havent been able to UE for quite some time. Last thing I did for this hobby was scout the Crosley building over a decade ago, before my wife and I got sick.

anywho, be safe and take care.

Hey everyone, on here I go by Eiryz or Daggers, whichever you prefer. I’m a SoCal kid who’s been exploring for a good amount of years now. I discovered this website about 3 months ago and it’s cool to see how many people are like me in enjoying their time in rotting buildings. Since I was a a little kid, I’ve just loooved exploring in general. Something about it just worked with my crazy little monkey brain. I’m a pretty novice skater, and I play bass guitar. Super into punk, metal, goth, all kinds of that good stuff. I’m excited to find a squad to explore with.

I am absolutely TICKLED that this thread started in 2011 and is active as of 2 days ago. Hello! My name is Torey and I am a 30-something nerd in Cincinnati. I had never heard of urban exploring but when I expressed interest in photos of abandoned locations to my partner, he introduced me to the term which lead me down an internet rabbit hole right to this very post. Honestly most of my hobbies involve sitting and so this is encouragement for us to get up and move more and improve our health so that we can explore safely. I look forward to learning from everyone's adventures and sharing some of my own!

Glad to see you've taken an interest! I go exploring with my girlfriend, it really brings up closer and gives up something to look forward to. It usually is good exercise as well. Many journeys have a good bit of hiking involved, especially if you do it a lot in rural areas like me. There's a lot of good information on this site to help get you started. You could keep is simple and just start walking off the beaten path, you never know what you'll find. I think it's an excellent couple's activity, good luck to you guys!

Hey all, I'm from Arizona and I joined to learn about some cool spots for me and my buds. I've always been interested in Urbex and other related activities, sometimes I take pictures. I've been hiking around in Sedona and Payson with my mom since I was little. She used to be in search & rescue and helped establish some of the native archeological sites in Arizona. My mom inspired my liking for desert hikes; maybe some of you can relate. Everyone here seems quite nice and I like it here. Have a good day.

Hello, I go by Quinefine. I always had loved the idea of urbex after visiting a since been demolished factory in my city. I never knew what to post as I wasn't a photographer (in hindsight I didn't really have to be one) but for the last year I have taken photos with a Canon EOS RP. I think photography is a beautiful medium and hope to tell the stories of the places I visit using it. In my goal to become a full member finally If anyone is interested in the Northeast Wisconsin area in meeting up, don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Hello all! My name is N**l, currently living in the far southern reaches of the GTA in Ontario, Canada. There’s apparently quite a strong presence on this website of people from Ontario, which is exciting!

I’ve been sort of peripherally aware of this site and the hobby for many years, in fact I’ve been doing it informally as my main hobby for most of that time as well. Know a lot of spots inside Toronto, but I’ve spent probably more time ‘treasure hunting’ through many well-trod routes and networks of dumpsters around the city than I have done strictly ‘urban exploring’ (though the two activities overlap in fairly obvious ways.) I’m looking forward to meeting some of you who are a little more clued in to the local UE landscape- and it looks like there’s an upcoming meet-up planned for Toronto, which I’m eager to actually attend.

Please, if there’s anything I should know or anyone involved would like to know about me in advance of that particular event, I’d be happy to receive and/or reply to any DMs. Also, anyone looking for UE companions in/around the Toronto/Hamilton area, I’d be more than happy to make your acquaintance.

I will try to contribute and make myself little more familiar to y’all in the coming weeks. Really happy to see this site seeMs to be doing so well given how completely strangled most of the ‘old’ internet spaces i once knew have become. Knock on wood.

Oh and yeah- male, early 30s. Figure that covers it for now?

Hello! Hello!
I'm alce and I'm from south central Montana. I joined because I've always had an interest in urban exploration. There's not much urban around me, but I try my best to explore what I can find. I'm hoping to make some new friends, especially since I'm planning a move to Orange County, CA in a few months and I'm unfamiliar with where to find stuff in the area. If anyone lives in Montana or Orange County and would like to explore with me or offer advice, feel free to reach out! I'm still very new to this hobby, so I'd appreciate anything!

Hi! First time caller, long time hobbyist. I've always like exploring, but never really got into it hard-core until recently. I'm from Illinois, and love the outdoors. I'm really hyped to see what this beautiful world has to offer.

Hello, everyone!

My name is Aksel, but I also answer to Coyote!

Perhaps not completely new here, as I've lurked in the discord and on here for some time now... But I have never really introduced myself, so here I am!

I am 26 years old at the time of writing, living in the NW YYC area. I've lived in Calgary for most of my life, with some time spent also in Greenwich, London. I've done a lot of traveling in my lifetime, but I won't make a list here. Ask if you're interested to know!

I am an audio engineer, AV tech, and (formerly) an electrician. Also a musician, but I no longer perform.

I have been interested in urban exploration for quite some time, and thoroughly explored a few university buildings when I was in summer camp as a child... Now, understandably, I'm hooked!

My interests mainly lie in abandoned or still-serviced buildings, and I very much abide by the leave-no-trace ideology, save for stickers on the backs of road signage. Though I am partial to building explores, I'm also 100% open to normal hikes, rural exploration, mountaineering, etc. Outdoor excursions are definitely fun too, as I was put into scouts as a child. Hike in camp-outs and urban camping is definitely on the list. I also got the opportunity to do first aid/lifeguard training in the past, and have recently taken interest in spelunking, mine diving, and drain exploration. (Though, that hasn't been acted upon.)

That being said, I won't lie to you, I don't have much real experience with exploration from the past 5 years to speak of! I've been working full time, and have nothing to show for the interests above, so I understand I will have to build my credibility up, but if any YYC local explorers or crews are looking for a laid-back addition, please feel free to give me a firm prod! (Also, if you're in the discord, I play games too!)

I'm always eager to learn, and even more eager to explore.
