The main gallery of this location I noticed had been deleted by a mod (I think). I was just wondering if anyone had any insight as to why?

And.. if a mod can delete a gallery, can they change the status from Abandoned to Demolished?

Crossfire asked for me to delete that gallery. I believe he has (or is going to) added the photos to his own site.

As for the status of the location, moderators can change it but so can other users.
