So today is the day I discovered this message board. I am a Christian and I do believe in ghosts... just not sure what to make of them cause I've never experienced one. Anyways, after looking on some bogus ghost hunting sights me and some friends decided to make our own graveyard investigation. It's funny how much junk people will try to pass off as ghost images. Not to say that some images aren't real, but I think some people are desperate for attention.
Our study was done after I read and saw photos of a paranormal investigation of a place I grew up around. It cracked me up cause we played there as kids and never saw crap. Ghosts make me curious nonetheless.

Here's what we came up with...

A vast photographical study imitating almost every type of ghost ever captured on camera. All these pictures are raw and were taken with long exposure shots using flash or flashlights (it's extremely easy to do). Here's some of them:

Sidenote: It seems funny that a lot of ghost pictures are taken using flash. Again, not that some aren't legit, but reflections, and dust can mess with your pictures.

Although a less subtle that other pics, here's some orb shots I made while using flash and throwing a snowball.

Here's a ghost shot of me. I sat in the photo for 4 seconds out of a 30 second exposure, and was illuminated with a white LED flashlight.

Here's a hazy apparition made with a flashlight and me breathing in the crisp air.

A buddy of mine rising from the dead. The same technique as ghost shot of me was used.

I'm a believer too. However, I don't necessarily believe pictures unless I was there personally when it was taken.

Pictures can be too easily doctored.

Wow,Furious D,you've just given up all of Lord Rick's ghost pic techniques in one fell swoop!

Interesting though,I wasn't aware of how easily these types of pictures can be made.

Yeah, I thought you at least needed Photoshop to come up with some of this stuff.

Nah, it's so easy that most of it is accidental. I guess that's why a lot of the times the photographer believes they've captured a spirit on film.

Regardless of what one believes that orbs are, they'll never prove anything to a skeptic. Neither will most photos of any type of ghostly "manifestation." As far as evidence goes, I just don't know how useful photos are. It'd have to be a pretty damn amazing photo to be worth anything.

I've seen a few pictures that impressed me - and a lot of pictures of dust and somebody's breath or cigarette smoke. I've taken a few weird photos here and there, but I don't get too excited about them because they could well be things like that.

The only way a picture would prove something to me is if I was present while it was taken, did the processing myself, and saw something clear enough -- like an actual person -- that wasn't there. No orbs, no "ectoplasm".

LMAO those were awesome! Gotta try that with the kids sometime! they would love it~

I believe as well but, all of these "orbs" and "mists" that can easily be snow or rain or dust or pollen or smoke or breath... bother me.

Some photos I am amazed at because they are just wicked! But for the most part I am usually skeptic.
I took a photo at Laura Secord's homestead in Nov. and showed it to someone... it was starting to snow in the pic and the chic went off about all the orbs and activity blah blah blah... I kept saying "no, no it is snow." she didnt believe me... UGH my kids said she was just stupid lol

done venting and again those shots are awesome!
