A few things I've encountered...

Figured I'd share a couple of my own stories since I can't sleep.

The first was when I was 3 or 4 years old (Yeah right, you say)... I have an amazing memory. I can literally remember conversations I had with my friends when I was in grade 1. In fact, my memory freaks people out because, well, it's stalker good. ANYHOW...

It was early in the morning, I'd say 6 or so, the sun was just coming up, I remember this because I could see everything in my room and the lights were off. Anyhow, I woke up, and my toys were on parade... moving around my room in a very orderly fashion. I remember watching this for a while thinking it was pretty cool, and then things got scary. Everything stopped moving, and my bedroom door turned into static... like when a TV isn't picking up a channel. I screamed at the top of my lungs... but when my mom came in, she walked through the static which was still in the doorway, so there wasn't any waking up from this bad dream. The house this happened in was only about 2 years old.

In this same house (Don't remember when it occurred in relation to the above event, but we moved out when I was 4), I was going down to play in the basement and fell straight down the stairs (there was a concrete floor below), anyhow, something literally grabbed me, and I fell off the side of the stairs instead, onto an old recliner that was left down there, and was fine.

Now I live in a house that's 95 years old, with several outbuildings. Moved here in 1994.

When I was 13, my dad and I converted part of one of the outbuildings into my own clubhouse... it was pretty cool, had an upstairs level, electricity, tv, etc. Anyhow, my friends and I decided to camp out in it, and about midnight, we all got so creeped out by the place, we moved back to the house. The next morning, my friend Brent went back down to the building, and fell asleep. Now, Brent was a VERY devout christian, and was the type of guy that wouldn't make up ANYTHING. He'd get offended if you used the word "heck.".

Brent comes screaming out of the building in TEARS, saying there was a man looking down at him from the upstairs part of the building. I'd never seen someone so scared.

We all tried camping out in there about a month later, and same thing, everyone got too creeped out to stay in there. We weren't a bunch of wimpy kids, either. We'd always go camping in the back woods on our own.

So, third and final incident in the clubhouse, my friend Billy is up from Toronto, we're playing nintendo in the club house, he falls asleep on the couch, wakes up and starts freaking out about some man looking down from the upstairs. I never told him about what happened to Brent, and he'd never met Brent.

The clubhouse was never too popular after this.

Last winter, three of my friends were over during a snow storm, we were watching some movies, having a few drinks... and from my basement, clear as day, someone starts pounding on the cellar door. This definitely wasn't the house settling or something. We all heard it, it scared the SHIT out of my cat... so I went outside to see who was at the cellar door. No one, and no footprints anywhere in the snow around my house.

It happened again about 20 minutes later... my cat disappeared for the remainder of the night (and she loooooves to be around people)

The other odd thing about that night is we all got in a pretty bad car accident afterwards... Doug (Who had only had a beer to drink the whole night, and even that was about 4 hours prior to the crash). None of us were really hurt, but Doug's car was a write off.

A few years ago I was renting a 2 bedroom condo in Belleville with my ex. It was a newer building (Late 80's I think), but it also had its share of weirdness.
The strangest was when my ex, her sister, and I were all sitting at the kitchen table, and her sister's can of Pepsi slid from one end of the table to the other, entirely on it's own, and at a very constant speed. We all watched this happen. I'd always wake up talking to people who weren't there, and a few times, the front door of the apartment would start shaking really violently... usually at really interesting times, too (i.e., if I hadn't set my alarm clock, and was going to be late for work)

I'd also hear people talking in the hall really late at night, and if I went out to tell them to shut up, there'd be no one there.

That's it for me!

That first story Bandi is SO Poltergiestesque. Thats freaky.

Ive seen a few things myself.

1st my father died in my mother's house and when I was a child several....maybe 6 kids said they saw things in the house. Got to the point that when I would try to have a sleep over no one would even come close. My best friend still claims that every time he goes in there he sees or feels something really wierd.

As for me:

When I was a junior in school.....about 1995 I guess. We had a hangout in an abandoned house (yep been 'splorin for quite a while now ) and one night after we had played in a football game we all (3 guys 3 girls) went to "the spot" as we called it for a little recreational beer drinking and pot smoking. This place was super freaky, had a water leak in the kitchen that put off a constant hiss. Well, we were all standing side by side in the living room and I packed the bowl and lit it. I looked up into the corner where a sole chair sat next to the window (only source of light in the room) to see a silhouette. I nudged my friend next to me and whispered "look over there" he did and so did a couple of the others. Well by this time the figure just vanished....... The figure was wearing a top hat and a long coat. With the window there you would be able to distinguish any facial features but this 'thing' had none, just a dark outline. We had checked the house before all this and it was completely vacant. After seeing this we hauled ass and jumped into the suburban and flew out of there. We weren't drunk or stoned as of yet either. I went back several times and never saw anything else.

Another one:

My ex fiancee and myself had a condo that was built in the late 70s and all sorts of strange things happened there. Doors would shut behind you (I checked them with a level at one point and they were all dead on), we would hear voices and things would just move (never saw it but cups that had been put away would be back on the counter etc.). The animals didn't like it either, we had a cat that was just nice as it could be go crazy and had to give it to an adoption place and my old lab would NOT come inside at all when she came to visit. I had to literally drag her inside and when she was in there all she would do was sit by the door and whine.

Thats about it for me.

Im a Capricorn -December 26- and I like Bandi can remember all sorts of stuff from back when I was 2. I get in arguments all the time with people when they try and b.s. about some past event. Its really kinda freaky.

Same. Last year I ended up dating my former neighbour from Toronto, who I had known since grade one, but hadn't seen or talked to in 14 years.

Anyhow, I remembered she didn't go to kindergarten, she went to "Wee Care Daycare" instead. Freaked her right out... lol

My long term memory is frightening. I can remember items, toys, i had when I was a child, names of kids that have long since moved away, all manner of things from when i was 3 or 4. I can remember license plates that we had on my parents' cars when I was a small child, I can remember what kind of cars my uncles had when i was a toddler...

I have a scary memory.

XZT 002 - The license plate of my mom's '83 Camaro Berlinetta which she sold in '88.
PRW 239 - Plate of my dad's orange '73 Super Beetle, sold in '89.

Maybe our amazing memories are from all the automotive chemicals over the years? hahaha

No joke, I agree with that to some extent. I think I have some kind of esp also sometimes. Like today when I was about to pass a fire station I thought about them coming out of the house right when I thought that they did. Just dumb stuff like that happens, like I will think of a song turn the station and its on. Hell I dunno if I even believe in that kind of stuff. Prolly just coincidence.

ROFL, I'm such a perv these days

Agreed Bustedknuckle and Sam, this is part of the deal. I almost started a thread last week on Premonitions, for exactly what you said. With driving, I mostly pass it off as instincts, but so many other times, you think of a name or something, and then soon that name or place is in your face/life.

We are on to something, work with the force.

So yah, premonitions, spill if you will...

Example: Years ago my Mom refused to stay later at my Grandfathers place and 'catch the next flight' He was a good guy, but could be very persuasive. She stood her ground and caught the flight she wanted to. The next flight crashed.

Mine are less dramatic, way less.

Wow, now thats messed up.....but in a good way.

My worst one was, I was having a dream about my Grandfather passing away, I woke up to a phone call. It was my mother, he had just died.

Yeah, the CMN plate sucked... perverts.
Premonitions... I have been having them since I was five, but they are never of anything remote important, just cars or events happening around the house.
