If you're referring to the floor visible below the shafts, I've found two ways to check it out. The first way was falling through a shaft (the one tucked away on the far left, although the smaller of the two central shafts appears at first glance to be a safer option, but I have not tested this). The second is after scaling the brick wall, instead of going inside, to follow the grassy hill down to the water and swim across the deep water (the way I returned up after my fall). The currents can be strong, but I managed in a soaked fleece jacket, jeans, and workboots in 10*C.
