The Court of Mysteries, also known as the "Gate of Prophecy", is an ornately decorated courtyard filled with brick-structures.
Constructed by "Claire" Kitchen in the 1930s, a few towering obelisks, a brick house structure with a chimney, and a few odd stubby pillars scattered throughout the property still remain standing. Although the location is in disrepair, many mysteries remain surrounding the strange courtyard.
Previously, a glass pane was nestled in the archway of the entrance. This window allowed sunlight to flow through by day, and moonlight to light the area during particularly bright nights. The glass has been broken for many years now, but the metal frame remains mounted and displaying various astrological symbols. Rumors exist stating that when the moon aligns with the metal archway and the chimney of the house, a catastrophic event will occur.
The location has had different owners since Claire passed away(apparently three different times leading to speculation that the property has some connection to the occult). All of his relatives seemed to vanish in 1957, and because no family members were found or stepped forward to claim the property, ownership was given to a Greek Church and soon received the nickname of the "Unorthodox Chapel". The court slowly grew into disrepair after its abandonment in the 1990s.
I was excited to check out this historically rich site to take some pictures, however, the property is undergoing some unfortunate construction.
1.This is the iconic archway which gave the Court of Mysteries its nickname "Gate of Prophecy"
2.A little peek of the main house structure at the back of the lot.

Apparently as of 2018, the property is now under the ownership of Artina Morton and Doug Harr. This couple plans on building a house on the lot with the original brick structures kept and maintained. This couple plans on building a house around the lot while incorporating Claire's initial design(and possibly repairing the damages it has undergone).
