If you didn't bring back any pictures with you then you obviously weren't there!

Hey guys, it's good to see you put this place up. I've been in it several times, but no pics (never had a camera with me). This place absolutely ROCKS!!!! It's like 4 or 5 floors of friggin' coolness incarnate! Definitely the UE playground of Dayton. O.K., so you can tell I'm jazzed about the place. I used it to make my CafePress tour loot site. Anyway, good job. If you're up for it, we need to schedule a tour together sometime...

The second building, the smaller of the two, wasn't nearly as impressive. At least not for me. It contained TONS of heavy duty industrial equipment that was tagged and prepped for auction or shipment.

The main building, when I hit it 2 years or so ago, had 3 or 4 very small active offices on the first floor. And a working bathroom. My gawd, a WORKING bathroom! I checked it out in the winter, and the bathroom was heated, and it was heaven. Only a UE-er can appreciate that!!

So you guys say this is near the Oregon District? How can I find it? Since I never got to visit the DP&L building before its implosion, I want to make sure I see this place !

It's on Monument and Keowee. Sandwiched between the streets and the river. It's just down from the 2nd Street Market. I drove by a few days ago. One of the vehicle gates is gone, so walking in gets no easier. And one of Dayton's finest was doing a slow patrol of the drive that runs along the gates. I don't think that's a problem either... he looked bored.

I threw up some pix here. Had to get in and shoot before the place became further destroyed. If all goes well, I'll have some images of the other building to contribute also, in the near future.
