I just saw the flick : "Resident Evil 2 Apocalypse" and there were zombies all over this place, and a chopper came and shot it to shit, then they nuked it. Pretty good movie too.

Check out the Bloor Viaduct bridge for example, the suicide barriers came in handy to give it that apocalypse feeling.

Cracks me up in Canada how we always say it s the cost is the reason why films get made up here. Well, it is a very important factor but let's not sell ourselves short on the concept that we do have shitloads of cool locations!

agreed, they heavily market olympic stadium here in montreal as a location because it is one of 2 abandonned domed stadia in on the continent that is maintained (pontiac siverdome is shut down now) and i can count 4 movies and 6 commercials shot there in the past year.

hell expos, i watched that movie with Ed Norton and Robert DeNiro just to see some of the locations around Montreal! What's worse is the more movies i watch filmed in Toronto, the more locations I am picking out that I have seen on here... weird, but neat in an internet sort of way.

The biggest disappointment I ever had with that was Once Upon A Time In America with DeNiro and James Woods. Montreal's industrial areas were substituting for NYC in the 30's and ya gotta figure it s gonna be good. Hell, the crew was even having lunch in the Northern Telecom cafeteria in the plant where my Dad worked! We watched the 4 hour version with sharply focussed eyes and there was not one shot over 3 seconds long that was recognizable! Those editors are good!

You're right. Canadians cities are quite cool; I wish Hollywood film makers would set their films here more often, instead of merely filming them here and setting them elsewhere.
