	I've been fascinated by abandoned places since I was a kid. I'm not a very good photographer despite the fact I like to take pictures. I need a camera with a strong flash--lots of pictures I have taken haven't turned out b/c cameras I've used are shitty.

The more pics you take the better you get. If you gotta digital cam them shoot pics like theres no tomorrow and you'll figure out what looks good or not. I am by no means a pro photog. I just shoot ALOT of pics and pick out the best ones and dump the rest.

Try some macro shots and long exposures for the artsy effect. Shoot odd angles and catch reflections etc...

	Thanks for the input! I'll keep that in mind. I think Dad's gonna let me use his digital camera. Hopefully I'll have time to go some places I want to check out this weekend, like this abandoned 70's motel in the middle of a town near me. It looks pretty accessible from the road, and the owners obviously don't give a shit about it since it hasn't been maintained and some of the suite doors are standing open. 	hey... i just took my first pictures today and it won't let me add a location yet... it said i have to be a full member. i got some cool shots in that motel though, even some gross shots in the bathrooms!
