This isn't the hotel in downtown Detroit that had a club in the basement was it? I know that it had a side entrance w/ stairs going down to the club, and when I was last up there (2000) both it and (i'm guessing) the hotel were still active. I believe it was a little further southwest of the UA theater, but I know it was beneath a pretty large well known hotel.

Lol...nevermind...answered my own question. Wasn't the Statler, though I do remember it. I was thinking of the Ramada, which I'm assuming is still in operation since the club listing is still online.
