was in there on saturday with my little brother and the amount of work that most be done is staggering but it is coming along. as far as access goes with so many construction workers going in and out all week they are quite lax in leaving many doors open/unsecured not to mention windows. its a refreshing change to see that the developer isn't just bulldozing the lot and starting fresh - those buildings housed recovering vets upon return from wars and they did a lot of research in prostetics there as well.


most of the work so far has been done on the inside of the main building - the staircases and walls have all new plywood and framing and they are stripping out all the rot. they are keeping the fountain in back (in front of the greek temple) and it will be restored to operational use. i am really not sure how suited the building is set up for condos but it will certianly be an interesting place to live once its completed. who knows the condos might fail and then be abandoned again, wouldn't that make for an interesting story?
