Construction to start.

I'm new to the site but I've had a interest in exploration for quite a long time.

I've ridden by the linseed site a few times in the last couple of days and it looks pretty well sealed up. I'm going to take a closer look as I can't see all sides of the building from the park or the street.

I visited the wabash community centre site and apparently Toronto has approved construction of the Field house which I believe is the small building on the site. It's slated to start in August.

That's great news for the community.

Yes it's the small field house on the premises. As of the beginning of October 2007, they have started restoration work on it.
I believe the plan was to create some meeting rooms and public washrooms out of this space. The factory itself is 'Phase 2' as a community centre and pool, although those plans are still unconfirmed.

I don't think I've ever seen a photo from inside that building. Maybe construction will lead to new opportunities...

Windows are in and some internal walls have gone up.

...I also noticed that it appears that they've sealed up the factory again.

I live just around the corner of this place, and although the community center will be a good thing, I just wish I could of gotten in before they closed it up. I remember a couple years ago some friends of mine popped into there, just to see what it was like, I'm also regretting not going with them.
Anyways, Apparently their hoping to have it ready to showcase later this year, if anyone is interested, heres the website for the community center project: http://www.buildwabashnow.org/

The main factory is open like a 7-11 these days. I noticed it while walking to my lady friend's place on Roncy. She and I went by to check it out (which is when I realized what it was) and had zero trouble getting in. I guess it's been a rainy year though, because the lower basement is still completely full of water as of two weeks ago.

I wish I'd had a camera with me. . .

I was there ohh, about less then a month ago. The place has been closed up tight!
I walked around the building twice and couldnt find a single crack to get in. 90% of the windows are covered with metal.
Looks like a somewhat new fence to.

There is a door that has been smashed and rebuilt a number of times over the past few months. I guess the city has had enough and is welding that one shut. It looks like they were welding a ladder across it.
Here's a shot
