Was it really? That's exactly what I thought when I was watching it.

With a secret tunnel out to Scarborough, amusingly. I'm notentirely sure WHY they decided to use that plotpoint, of making him come up in Brockworks; just a desperate attempt to seem more Candaian by using a landmark?

Yeah, they didn't have to do that at all. I already associate sociopathic pedophiles with Canada.

I just saw that Flashpoint episode where Scarborough connects to Brickworks via a tunnel. Cool. I knew I shoulda looked harder for those tunnelz.
The Brickworks has been used for everything. Dragon's den, although only the early episodes had a realistic enough environment. The later ones clearly used a studio with industrial-chic bricks, beams, etc. in the background. Faux brick oven facades, edge lighting, pipes...
Also in some of the Holmes worst handyman series, the large outbuilding with the metal roof was used.
Since when did abandonments become cool to the average TV watching blob? This is an insult to urban exploration. If popular media continues to "normalize" such environs, how long will it be before police stop harassing people for trespassing such "common" places?
