Feel free to edit this location and add pictures. we had already started making this location when Akron suggested it and we did not want some one else to come along and make one because we would have a unfinished location lying around and have no way to delete it.

It's completely abandoned; executive offices moved downtown, and manufacturing moved out of state.
I believe 24-hour security is still there, however.

I found me an easy way through the outer fence, but no easy access to the buildings.

What could they be protecting?
Is the site going to be saved for some other industrial use?

They're actually renovating...
Will soon be commercial/residental property.

I took another perimeter run tonight; found some skinny guy-sized windows broken out, but they're constantly working there; my original perimiter fence breach has been fixed in the past month, and they're moving stuff around constantly at the site...
It appears at least one or two people are there 24-7...
Mad props to anyone who can get in and get back out without being arrested...
But I've started trying to contact the development company; see if we can't get a small group in to photograph the site in its present state, before it's more or less torn down and rebuilt into apartments, Starbucks and a Barnes & Noble...

Word. Let me know if you get permission to photograph the site, I'd love to check it out.

Darn. What a waste of such a neat complex. Crap, can't people live somewhere else?
Anyway, that would be great, but I wonder how much of the "original" equipment and mechanics of the place are still intact. Does anyone know when they shut down the production plant? Because if it was quite a while ago, they've most likely removed most of the stuff we'd find most interesting; The place might just be a bunch of empty warehouses now.

Hello, I'm new...

I should see if I can locate an old buddy of mine who did get into the place about 5 years back...it's been abandoned for quite some time. Anyway he took lots of photos all over the inside of the place. Amazing and HUGE old equipment. All with crazy stories (ie: people getting sucked in one side and spit out the other). From the photos it was by far one of the coolest places I've seen. He was able to sneak in as he was interning there back in school. The real entrance was across the street and took you under broadway via a fairly wide tunnel. If you're interested in seeing photos let me know and I can try and track him down. And Yes the place has a steady flow of security guards, at least they did back then. Makes it a little more exciting maybe, eh?
