The burnt out shell was a Hotel/Restaurant/Truckstop I used to drive past every day when I drove a truck, there was a fire in one of the rooms and most of the rooms burn down and eventually the rest was demolished, the newer building was supposed to be a Harveys/Country style doughnut operation similar to one they have on the 401 in Oshawa but for some reason never opened up. These days the building behind it (the old truckstop) is now a new T.A truck stop. I wouldn't be surprised if the Harveys building is home to many a hitch hiker.
