| | | Me and a few others are doing a school project on the whitby phyc, so we went to get some video footage at about 3:30 pm. All we did (that they knew of) was drive down Gordan st and in to the new phyc's parking lot while videotaping out the window. The "Governemnet worker" made us erase all the footage we had, while asking for our driver's ID. We decidede to give it to him so he wouldn't call the cops. Although, we still couldn't get in trouble for anything, concidering we wern't trespassing. The funny part of the story is that originally we had some group 4 guy following us around the parking lot for a while, then we pulled into a spot and the white minivan stopped, and creaped closer. He was trying to be stealth, even though he must have known we saw him. We had to record over the tape while the security and gov't guy was there so we did. Therefore, we have the convo on tape. I might put it online some time. It's pretty funny. The guy kept asking for the teacher at our school, but we wouldn't give it to him until he threatened to call the cops. So for all those people who want to go to the phyc during the day, do not go during business hours....cuz the gov't will be there. Go saturdays or after 7 on week days.

| | | Posted by R@!D3R I'd be the driver and I should have pissed the guy off until he called the cops. I wanted to get out of there fast so I just decided to co-operate... Next time I'm not giving my ID though... Besides he calls the cops, and what can they do? We drove down Gordon St. Filming the perimeter of the Psych..! They can't even charge me for anything... anyways no big deal... annoying though... Stupid meter maids that try to think they have authority to take my ID!

| | | First of all, Group 4 can go fuck off. They aren't paid to protect the old grounds, only the new psych, so therefore, anything they do to you (ie, tickets), can be fought in court. Secondly, the Government can go fly a kite. It's private property, they have ZERO authority to do anything except try and scare you. Thirdly, Durham Regional Police can't do jack all either. It's private property, so they can't enforce the trespass to property act. The only thing they CAN do is screw you with B&E if they see you going into a building or coming out of one. Yes, they WILL harass you if they see you, but legally speaking, unless they witness you commit a criminal offence (trespass isn't criminal), they can't really do much. There you go. -Ex

| You're mostly right. I would be co-operative but not submissive at all. If you haven't even done anything wrong yet and you get harrassed! "F" that. (but they are cops, so there is definately a limit to how hard you push back) The security gaurds though (grin) I think they would be fun. It would be fun just to ignore them, pretend they weren't there.
