It's not so much allow as it is ignore. I went to the WBC protest in Greenville the other week. Those guys are trolls. I cannot believe they believe the shit they spout. No way. The loudest get the attention, best thing you can do is ignore them because when you start fighting them you give them what they crave, fucking attention.

It's nice that you ignore the crazy fucks, but unfortunately, as you well know, politicians don't have enough sense to figure out what is bullshit and what isn't, so they end up kowtowing to the even the crazy ones.

On both sides, but I see your point. The problem is with how people vote, with emotion. But how do you fix it short of a dictatorship?

I'm not sure about a dictatorship, but there will definitely be blood spilled.

I'm willing to bet not a whole lot of 30ish southern conservative redneckish republican/conservatives on here who believe in God. But I don't back down because I think I am right, just as you don't back down because you think you are right.

The solution is for people of good conscience to confront bigotry and intolerance head-on, face to face. It's easy to call someone out on the 'net, but it takes some guts to do it in person. In person, though, is where it has the most impact. So, next time someone in your workplace, school, church, etc., says something bigoted, confront them and let them know that attitudes like that are not welcome in a civilized society. Once they realize they are in the minority, they'll STFU.
