Well, I've had the new Slipknot album (The Subliminal Verses) for about two and a half weeks now. I like it, but I was wondering, what do YOU think about it? And by "you" I mean anyone else who's happened to hear it.

i havent heard it, i just wanted to comment on slipknot...i love "wait and bleed" and some other songs of theirs (im not the biggest slipknot fan so i dont know many names of songs). but the song "the heretic anthem" has the worst lyrics written by anyone, ever. "if youre 555, then im 666" i felt stupider just for hearing that.

Iowa wasn't a very good album for the most part, but some of the songs were alright. This new album is a bit better, they focus a lot on drumming and trying out new stuff as a band. They even solo in this album, it's wicked. And the drumming has gotten better.. as if it wasn't crazy enough already. XD

I heard, i think they needed to excel in there music or die off with nu metal. Im pretty happy they decided to not just have death metal guitar, and put some effort into there music this time.

i think this will be there last album like i'm not saying its bad its lacking the talent of there old ones not including iowa cause that wasnt that great either but i think now that there all getting there own side project that maybe they should just stick with those but its not one of the worse albums i've heard this year so out of 10 i'll give it maybe a 5 its a 50% thats still ok.
