Calling Atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair color.

Seriously? Maybe the south won't rise again.

It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics. Having gone to school in Tennessee and Georgia, I can say that creationism was never taught in any school i attended, except for the private christian school i attended for a year and a half. In one science class in high school, we discussed evolution, the teacher taught us about it and some kids said it was wrong and the teacher then asked the asked the kids for any proof of creationism outside of the bible. No one could, so he said he is here to teacher science not religion. That was the end of discussion, he was highly respected by all of us and still has his job and there never any protest or complaints.

C'mon Monkey! An atheist told me all schools in the south teach kids that God made the earth in 6 days and rested on the seventh, and that was about 7,000 years ago.

WASHINGTON — U.S. conservative Christians and science advocates are clashing again, this time in Tennessee over a bill that would allow debate in public schools over theories such as evolution.

Oh no! Not a debate about evolution and creation, and definitely not intelligent design! What would happen if kids found out evolution is a theory and not a proven fact? What would happen if the ideas were discussed side by side and people of faith weren't simply told they are outright wrong and a different unproven theory is right?

It's science!! Kinda like when scientists told us the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth?

Did priests or other religious figures come forth to prove them wrong? This whole thing is just incredibly stupid and it is unbelievable that there is even debate over it.

Silly words.

Please, enlighten us with some sort of fact that backs up either creationism or intelligent design.

Creationism and ID are not even theories. They are at best hypotheses. There is no evidence whatsoever that supports their claims. There is no reason it should appear in science classes. You also seem to be under some confusion as to what a scientific theory actually is.

A hypothesis can either be proved or disproved using empirical procedures. that's how we learn things.
religion/creationism/intelligent design is an opinion formed in the vacuum of scientific ignorance.
