State Trooper stopped my stepfather yesterday for...get this...driving with his arm resting slightly out of the open window of the drivers side door.

Most people do this, I know I do when I'm in the car. You roll down the window and rest your arm on top of the closed door.

Talk about a prick asshole trooper. Nothing good to stop so stops an old man driving an old man truck with his elbow hanging out the window. Fucking cops.

Driving with your arm out the window is illegal in The People's Republic of New York? One more reason for me to avoid that place.

I was pulled over in Missouri for "driving in the left lane."

This was on a stretch of deserted highway between Springfield and Branson in the middle of nowhere.

Found out later it was an actual law....but still!!

No, but the cop basically told him he could issue a ticket for a fine.

I did a little digging and there's some really esoteric dumbass law that says you can be fined for not having both hands on the wheel at all times.

I know what you mean... I was walking on the sidewalk in front of an abandoned school with my camera taking photos. I wasn't even ON the property and a cop drives by. Pulls over. Gets out of the car and proceeds to give me a huge lecture on how trespassing is breaking the law... And he was feeling nice so he'd give me a warning instead of a ticket... I thanked him and watched him drive away... What the hell?

This is silly but kinda amusing.
A few years back my city did this thing where they issued "safe driver" awards. I got pulled over and Mr. Dudley Do-Right police officer looked just pleased as punch to issue me this little certificate with a gold star on it.
I asked him if he had any kiddie badges, stickers, or those knuckle punch keychains they sometimes hand out. He said no.
I promptly snatched the certificate, made the "pssshh" sound and drove off leaving him standing there.

Not long after they discontinued the award program.
A cop followed some drug addict that used his turn signal correctly and when he pulled him over the druggie shot a hole through the cop's head.

The cop who blackmailed me/bribed me/detained me for the better part of a weekend after I went to the police for help, then continued to pull me over every time he saw me was charged with 2 counts of sexual assault on a minor.

Karma, bitches.
