Anybody else get this today or planning on getting this soon? Only reason I got it was the World of Warcraft annual pass thing where they give you D3 for agreeing to subscribe for a year, otherwise I might not have bought it right off. I don't think, as much as I love pc games, I could have justified the 60 bucks right now

So far, it's an absolutely gorgeous game. Blizzard really has done a good job, yet again. So far, it feels a lot like the original. I've only played the wizard and created a demon hunter. I have yet to try the others, but I will.

All I will say is don't compare it to Skyrim or Rift or any of the others, there's no gimmick effects like in Rift or anything like that. It's an old school rpg, it reminds me somewhat of Neverwinter Nights when it first came out, but the learning curve isn't as steep and it's easier to become overpowered and beat the snot out of most of the stuff that comes your way. Blizzard did what they do best, that's create an engaging story and some pretty good lore. So far, I think it's worth the wait. I don't know if it was worth waiting 20 years for though.

You are probably not getting a response since it is too late and peoples' lives have been consumed by this great monster we call Diablo III.

ROFLMAO.

You are not the only ones, my life is pretty much eat, sleep, work, D3 for every other waking moment and when not playing, trying to imagine where I'm going next...I'm on Act III, looking forward to dragging my wizard through it again, but harder this time.

I thought about it, but Iv never played the previous diablo games, and my laptop might have a hard time running it.

I definitely recommend you try Diablo 2 then, still a first class game after all these years. It will run on almost anything.

D1 is of course a classic, but from memory (played it many years ago) it lacked variety. D3 I've been playing exclusively since launch but its just now starting to get a bit boring. I also agree with a lot of people who say its a bit short and could do with some DLC or major expansion.

You may think you can fly.....but you'd better not try it.
