That’s a good point. I wouldn’t have had any idea about my nomination had the person that nominated me failed to clue me in on that fact.

Is that so? It looks like five days passed between your nomination and your official application. I can't tell if it's just because you didn't log in until that time or if you had to find out by some other means.

I honestly don’t remember, lol. I do remember that the person that nominated me told me in person, not via the UER forum.

So I get nominated by a full member to be a full member and get shot down for not having met up with another member irl? On a site that's practically dead at this point? You are kidding with me right? -_-

I just read your full membership request and it has nothing to do with not meeting with another member in real life: At this time we have chosen to deny your full membership application, as we haven't seen enough posts & content to get to know you. Keep up the good work and post more personal explorations. Once you've been more active and participated more in the forums, feel free to apply again!

You have 9 posts (including this one) spread out over 6 months.

Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.

Really cool location, I'd love to see some more pictures from the inside.

Then the old stand-by posts: "its on my list of places to see" or "there's more graffiti than last time I was there"

People will think you actually explore stuff or plan to someday.

Complaining about rejection and calling a site you so badly want to be a member of "dead" is always a good path to follow too....

Dead? Really? That never goes over well here...
Many FMs here including myself never met anyone here until long after they got their FM. Mods can and will jump you without anyone putting you up if you impress them.

You didn't get jumped in because typical newbie mistakes including what boffo mentioned.
The images you posted are high res/large file size and many are not keepers. So large in fact I got tired of waiting for them to load. By not downsizing the file or limiting the amount of large file size images make your threads a real pain to view on anything other than fios or cable.
Making these mistakes means you've invested little time and/or effort in the site.
I look at the online users a lot and note how many pages they went through that session.
Some go through literally hundreds a session.
The above short comings and you attitude got you my strike.

Many good members have waited years to get their FM and never complained. I try to get these overlooked members jumped in when I notice them.

Oh well I am so sorry you don't like the photos I take at the location I visit. Not all of us can afford fancy lens for their cameras or special lights for taking photos in dark buildings. And as someone with autism, posting things is not something I am good at. I am good at location management. I have my own map with something like 800 locations that I meticulously curate and maintain. I want to be a FM to add MY database to UERs database. More than happy to spend WEEKS adding places to UER map. But talking and playing nice with others is not my forte'

First off, you don't need fancy camera gear to take good photos. I use a point-and-shoot digital camera that was the cheapest on the market when it was new, and it's about ten years old now. Photography skills can more than compensate for low quality gear.

As for post count, look at it from our perspective. You may know that you're trustworthy. But to us, you're some random dude with less than a dozen posts, so we know nothing about you. It's not enough for you to tell us "I'm discreet and don't blow up locations" because anybody can say that. To earn FM status, we have to see that, and the only way to see it is to interact with you over time until we have a solid idea of what kind of person you are. Interaction is a two way street, and we can't get to know you if you don't post.

Quality is irrelevant; they can be for documentary purposes. My big complaint was the file size.
With a 4G connection on my Android after over 30 seconds it was still trying to display the first page of your posts. Even crashed the page twice; that almost never happens

The UEDB isn't the big draw for most here.
Most know better than to post their prize sites there.
It's fun to look at from time to time and as a reference to places long gone.
If I do ever add sites to it they will either have been secured or demoed.
Personally I've never used it to find a site to explore that I can recall.
I will also point out that the UEDB has been deliberately trashed by a rogue FM at least once.
One reason access is restricted.

I got dyslexia, so what?

Ok then

blame the lens

blame the lighting

blame autism

800 meticulously managed locations

Sounds like youre exactly the right kinda guy to curate the UEDB for us. I mean, its in desperate need of help and meticulously managed entries such as yours.

Keep up the good work and remember, post at least half of your 800 locations in the Regional Forums, and then keep lying to the Full Members and moderators until you get promoted.

I'm not sure how the nominate for FM feature works, but it seems sometimes the nominated user is blindsided and unsure how to proceed. There is also a queue we can see of people who were nominated for FM and never responded, leaving them in this weird limbo. So at the very least you should warn the person first before nominating, so they can respond promptly.

Probably best to PM the person you plan to put up for FM before you do it to see how they respond.
Most times I've have already been PMing with them.
A few though they had such great threads/pics I made the mistake of not doing this.
Ended up requesting they not be jumped in for specific reasons

If you make enough jump-in requests for FMs as an FM or jump-ins as a mod, you are bound to get a few bad ones jumped in.
Try to keep that number low!

At the same time try to get long time overlooked good contributing members jumped in.
Read over their posts well first. It is a time consuming process...

Yeah, we've also seen people sarcastically nominate obviously unqualified people for full membership, just to harass them. I think in the future we will have to punish users for that.
