Entry: Mexican barbwire
originally posted by Steed

A colloquial term for the extremely DIY method of fortifying walls or fences using broken glass, often from broken bottles. Most commonly found on stone or concrete masonry, the jagged pieces of glass are planted in drying cement along the top of the fence.

Despite the name, it can be found in countries far removed from Mexico.
