Um, yeah. Not allowing you to take medication prescribed to you? The guard should lose his job, at a minimum, perhaps face charges himself.

Her job. Not 'his' job. But whatever. No one is going to lose anything over this. Except perhaps the person on the receiving end of this bullshit. The rape victim will lose something.

Awful. A person's religious beliefs extend only to the person themselves. They have no right to impose them on other people.
That guard should definitely be sued. What if the medication was for a potentially fatal medical condition and the prisoner died? Saying that it's against her religious beliefs to allow the medication should never be a defense. The only time that would apply is if the guard was prescribed the medication and the guard refuses to take it.

The guard is a douchebag and should lose their job.

But at the same time why is there a lawsuit? She didn't get pregnant as a result of this. Not taking that pill did nothing except make her worried for a couple of days. I do not see how that results in:

"Bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, cost of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of earnings, loss of ability to earn money, and aggravation of a previously existing condition."

Pain and Suffering I can see and agree with, but everything else? Those are all results of the rape or her being in prison due to her outstanding warrants.

I feel awful the woman experienced this, but I don't see how this is a court case. Its like suing Trojan because my condom broke and I was worried I might have gotten my girlfriend pregnant or contracted an STD. If neither of those happened, then whats the big deal?

Doesn't matter. She was denied prescribed medication. Doesn't matter if it was anti-pregnancy drugs or toenail fungus drugs. Also, at the time she was only accused, not convicted. Yet another way rape victims are blamed for their rapes.

if someone has tried to sue over being denied their toe fungus medicine, and they are suing for the same ridiculous list, I would say the say thing. My point stays the same, and I better explain my view later in my post.

You've obviously never had toenail fungus.

accidently left that out. Thanks for pointing it out. But it still remains the same, 90% of what they are suing about is the result of the rape not being denied the pill.

Conservative friends, how do you justify or explain, "We want less government in our lives!" with your desires to eliminate or make illegal all abortions? Isn't that more government?
