	Those of you that rock winter beaters what are you gonna be getting? Im really not sure what to look for as I dont really feel like driving the audi this winter as I would like to do some big work on it. Was looking at maybe getting a Tahoe or maybe a 3 series xi...

	still got the same old Beretta... although, I think the engine might be on its way out. Hadn't driven it for a couple of days, started it up and oh boy what a rattle came from that engine. Once it built oil psi, it quieted down. In my experience, a cold knock is not a happy knock. It happened so fast that I couldn't tell if it was in the cam train (not so big a deal) or down deep in the crank train (big deal).

	Even my grandfather didn't get the Fifth Avenue and instead went with the LeBarron! The deal fell through on the LeBarron; the owner sold it before I get over there. There's a resident at my work who wants to sell her 1984 Dodge Aries which runs fine but has a beat up interior. Easy fix Going to see how much she wants for it.

I owned a 88 5th ave. Loved it! Best $300 I ever spent. Even had ice cold ac. Never had to do a thing except gas and oil changes.

	A friend of mine who builds high powered turbo dodges (high powered for a dodge 2.2) has 2 5th Aves, one was a beater made into a derby car and the other is restored with a built 318 I think it is, super comfortable for winter

	the last car my grandfather owned was an 87 Diplomat Salon (which was more or less a 5th Avenue)... it rode like a plush pimp barge all the way to Ohio. The car was sold after he died to a bus driver who drove it for a decade, then sold to a friend of mine who, during a drug fueled run from the Five-Oh, smashed it into a series of guardrails, two parked cars, a fence, three roadsigns and kept on trucking it home. To this day, he still has that and another Diplomat.

	It's "LeBaron". And I think the winter beater for this year is a 2000 Jetta 2.0, unless I can sell it/profit before winter and get something a bit more fun. I'd still be driving last year's '93 Golf base model but I sold it.

	nismo, if you like that body there was an ad at kennys they had 4 88 caravelles painted as montreal cop cars for sale last month, may still be there.
