It was fine on an 8MP Rebel XT or 12MP XSi but you can really see the difference in loss of detail on a 18MP 7D.
I have a Sigma 8-16mm now. I'd recommend saving up for that or the 11-16/2.8 Tokina.

Well I need a lens now on the budget of $350, the lens I was using got destroyed when my camera strap broke on my bike. I will probably go with the Tokina, I rarely use AF anyways given the situations I shoot in.
