	Stick with Baja. The rules for rally change every year (drastically) and they've priced the sport out of existence for anyone who makes less than $1,000,000 a year. I'm now the proud owner of an absolutely useless VW Golf with a ton of money invested into it (without a single rally under its serpentine belt) because of rule changes. So after being crew chief of a North American Championship winning team that's been to the X Games 5 years in a row, please allow me to say "FUCK NORTH AMERICAN RALLY." Thank you. Yes I've been drinking. And yes I'm fucking bitter about the recent rule changes (which required me to totally reengineer my car a year ago). In short- stick with Baja. I have a few rally friends who have made the switch.

someone i was talking to online (xbox) was saying that rallycross is getting huge because rally has been priced out of the average guy's hands.

	The issue with Rallyx is your car is guaranteed to get mangled.

	Yep. They changed everything last year so I had to re-engineer my entire car halfway through the build, now they did it again. Ian can't even run his Cosworth Escort any more because of the rule changes. So that's $120,000 gone to waste.

	Out here in Oregon, the smaller Mt Hood Rally used to be the rally for the little guys in the NW, but since the chairperson who was in charge for 8 years, Simon, stopped, from 2011 on, the rally now is designed for the "Clubman Rallyist" which are all the "club" teams in the NW, which while is nice to see cleaner looking teams, I miss the "MacGyvering" of cars with the boyfriend driving and the girlfriend being the co-driver.

Seeing as it's totally gutted and 70% race car now... it'll be used for something else motorsports related. I'm gonna sit tight till the new year because there's talk of a new rally series that's less ridiculous. We'll see.

Otherwise it's just going to become a little toy to play with on the odd weekend at Shannonville when they have club racing.
