Anybody on the west coast want to meet soon? This winter is making me antsy

Most of you seem quite a bit more advanced than me (was just reading about Therrin rigging for 1000+ lb lifts, holy crap). If you don't mind, I'd love to see some of you in action and get some ideas!

I'm up to meet people out here, but I live in SoCal, so I'm a bit far from you.

Might be interested in putting together a Cali-rope-day or Cali-rope-weekend thing of some kind to meet up with people and learn and teach stuff.

Oh okay ... well still, impressive. You didn't have to bring any of that back up?

I've been intending on a trip down to SoCal since I moved out to Oregon four years ago, so I'm down with a bit of travel. When's the best time of year to come down? (I presume ALL THE TIME ...)

Craig, how soon are you going to host the meetup? I am not sure if I can get much time off or savings, but I wanted to know ahead of time to plan.

Once you lower down pieces of trees in sections, over houses, you rarely need to lift them back up into place But there's ways to do that too, mostly using a block & tackle or a capstan winch device.


Yeah when's this shindig getting down?

Well, I was all gung ho about this but have since come to the realization that I have WAY too many commitments in my life and probably shouldn't add another. But there will be tons of ropework fun at MAMU VI if it goes to me!

I've potentially got MAMU coming up, plus a possible small meetup in New Zealand, and also toying with the idea of a Detroit meetup...so I need to step back from this one. Not to mention I'm a business owner, full time student, aerial silks instructor and working on a book... I'm getting spread a little thin!

If someone else wants to organize it, go for it! Or if we just want to call MAMU VI the rope meetup, that's cool.
