I have not been able to get into any of the older shows at all. To me, they are all horrible cheesy, and not in a fun way. they are just plain bad, everything about them is bad to me. So what classic episode should I watch, to have the best chance of enjoying them?

Easy use your imagination. There's no fancy special effects to do the work for you. I say go with the 4th Doctor episodes especially the Dalek episodes. Try:

Pyramids of Mars
Terror of the Zygons
Android Invasion
Deadly Assassin
City of death
The Ark in Space

Avoid Horns of Nimon like the black plague.

Netflix just uploaded a lot of classic Doctor Who. Although it's not in the right order.

And do NOT, under ANY circumstances, watch McCoy episodes, with the exception of "Remembrance of the Daleks."

There is only one way to watch the McCoy episodes. Question nothing, except everything and learn to enjoy crap plots. Same goes for the McGann movie only learn to ignore the huge continuity issues that the Americans decided to throw in, aka "I'm half human on my mothers side" and "The Doctor is half human! No wonder"
Don't count McGann as a crap Doctor just because the movie. He really shines in the Audio adventures and the books.

The DVD's weren't, and still aren't, released in the right order either. This might help http://en.wikipedi...Doctor_Who_serials
