"Jim, it's happening right under our noses and we can't see it. We take machines and stuff 'em with information until they're smarter than we are. Take a car. Most guys spread more love and time and money on their car in a week than they do on their wife and kids in a year. Pretty soon, you know what? The machine starts to think it is somebody." - Buddy Hackett, "The Love Bug"

What do you think of this concept? Will technological innovation ever surpass human innovation? Which controls which?

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

Even in the event of AI I don't think machines will ever be able to predict the depths of human stupidity to fuck up it's plans.

There is a simple solution to the human problem.

mutantMandias may cause dizziness, sexual nightmares, and sleep crime. ++++ mutantMandias has to return some videotapes ++++ Do not taunt mutantMandias

mutantMandias is something more than human, more than a computer. mutantMandias is a murderously intelligent, sensually self-programmed, non-being

The Internet is god.

(Curious note: As I typed this on my phone, it autocapitalized 'Internet', but not 'god'.)

Is the Internet still controlled by humans, or do you think it has the capability to run itself?

Can it run itself? It does, doesn't it? The Internet is its own entity. We just add to it. Every word we type in or image we upload makes it a more precise representation of our identity as humans. If humans were to disappear and some alien race came and found the Internet they would have a lot more info than we do on say, the ancient egyptians. Fascinating to me.

Very confusing information though.

For some reason I have enough faith to believe that human innovation does exist and will continue for a long time still. But I do believe we've reached a point technologically that there is no turning back from. Especially with the advent of nuclear technology, or even more simple technology like dams. We live in a world that is constantly on the edge of oblivion, yet we rest here quite comfortably.

What I am, where I am, who I am, that I am, does not exist.
