this topic isn't about pirating titles you can get the legit disk copy or a psn release or anything like that....

I have been trying to burn a copy of twisted metal 2 beta. This image was released a few years ago by I believe the party who owned the rights to it... or something like that. I'm actually not sure... but I was never into burning ps1 games in the past.

now, I have the data... it seems to be 12 .bin files and a cue file. I tried disc juggler and alcohol 120.. I did the suggested settings, choosing the .cue file. I was looking on youtube for recommended config settings.... but none of the examples showed that type of disk image... it was always .iso style images where the person chose the biggest ISO in the folder as the target when browsing.

The reason, I want to burn this game is because I dont want to play a ps1 emulator... I want a disk to play on a real PS1 which I know can be done... people have done it with twisted metal 2 beta..... the beta is playable, but it has different vehicle stats, differences in the levels (ie: you can apparently run over santa and penguins in antartica, in hong kong there are boats outside of the level that shoot napalm at you.. etc)

I have a game shark 2, which I planned to do the swap disk method since my ps1 isn't modded..... but none of my burns worked so far. I cant get my burner lower than 10x.

Any help would be great if you guys have burned TM2 beta..

Not sure if this is relevant to your situation or not -- But when I used to get bin/cue files, I would convert them to ISO images using BIN2ISO. I'm not even sure if the app is still around. It was a tiny self contained .exe binary.

I'm pretty sure this is it here. GUI looks familiar. Its 32-bit, but should run just fine under current versions of windows.

I think there are a few ways to do the same thing under linux, one that jumps to mind is 'bchunk' (i think, google is your friend).

huh, I didn't even think of doing that... Most other systems that require bin/cue dont require any conversion in my experience.(neo geo cd, 3DO, sega cd, etc...)
