I blew the fuse in this building trying to plug in a couple space heaters for my model (it was probably 15 degrees in the building)... so instead of just calling the shoot I decided to do a quick shoot with what little lighting I had before she froze to death. I had to get a little creative but it ended up being a fun shoot. All I had to work with for lighting being that it was super dark and I had no electricity was: some light from the street lights if I put her right next to the window, 1 external flash, a reflector, and an LED light I use for video. Ok, I'll bite. About two of these really do show off her tattoos. Cold makes posing tough though, but it might be better to have used smaller clothes to show them better. It looks like she was okay topless but not nude, and that can work well. The first photo is a great face shot, but doesn't show a tattoo well. I'd suggest having her elbow higher, and part of the tattoo hidden (tease) behind her panties.

#2, Shows tattoos well. For underwear pulls, don't you want a fluid finger hooking, instead of a claw sort of grabbing at the cloth?

#3 Yes, smooth hooking like this. The gun shirt is a good choice here, but is the stairway? My eyes are drawn away from her towards the very strange wallpaper.

#4, nipples are good. But isn't this a tattoo expo? None of these show her collarbone tattoo, and this would have been a great time (Shrugging the top down, perhaps).

#5 seems like a bit more light from above would help see the thigh tattoo. But it's a good photo.

#6 I can't escape the feeling that her hands are yearning for something to do. Hair toss, holding something, I'm not sure what.

That's what I've got. The technical execution is pretty good, and your use of the flash is good. A thermos of hot water works wonders. I've used a 40 oz metal bottle with hot water, wrapped in a sock, for times like this.

Careful blowing fuses in old houses... They like to burn down if you hurt their feelings.

Thanks for the tips man! I didn't have the time to put in a ton of thought like what she's doing with her hands and such since I didn't want her to freeze. But now that you bring that stuff up it will be something I look for next time. The thermos is a good idea too. I appreciate the full critique I was bummed that no one was commenting lol.

The photos weren't specifically for a tattoo expo, it was for a gig I was working on designing some posters/flyers/etc for a night club and the client wanted "a sexy tattoo'd girl".

Props to her for working it out in such frigid temps. I once did a photo shoot in 7 degree weather after trudging through knee deep snow for a mile to get to the location, so I know how hard it is to pose when you're freezing.

I like the gritty, grungy look to these shots.

She is easily the best model I've worked with (that being said I haven't worked with very many, I am mostly a music photographer). She loves to do urbex and wacky shoots. I've had a couple other people say that too, which is surprising because this is more of a behind the scenes type of shot. I took it while she was talking to me

The last shot is my favorite...it's almost like she's saying "seriously, last shot and we can get out of this cold ass place?"
