Since people are being spotted by security more frequently I thought it would be good to create an open forum with information on security cameras, systems etc. Feel free to add websites and clippings to this thread that will help explorers know what they may be facing.

Several people, not just me, have run into security using "modern technology" lately and hopefully this may help others.

from Commercial Integrator:

this one is a thermal sensing camera worth recognizing : http://www.commerc...iled_at_isc_west/4

From Best Game Cameras:

I plan to do more daylight assessments for cameras at PoE's

I jave definitely observed the proliferation of wireless 'deer cameras' at previously easy-access locations around me. It's not often easy to spot them as many are made to blend into their surroundings. At one location, I observed one of these cameras on the trail leading up to the site! These cameras typically use a bluetooth or wifi connection to instantaneously send photos to somebody's phone. Now, I've noticed sites that once had a security trailer and full-time security staff have removed the trailer and staff in favor of these devices. The way it works is that a trespasser triggers the infra-red motion detector, and the thing wakes up and sends a pic to somebody who will in turn simply call the cops - which sucks cause I much prefer dealing with security over dealing with cops. However, they are often (but not necessarily) battery operated, and the batteries usually only last a day or two between charges. So unless somebody is diligently recharging, there's always a chance the camera isn't functioning.

Since they require a bluetooth or wifi signal to operate, you could carry a bluetooth/wifi jammer with you. This will at least disable the things while you are in their range. And they're cheap - about $150.00.
