| | | Near where I live there used to be an elementary school. Only now there aren't any kids in my neighbourhood, so they decided to turn it into a geriatrics place (where old people go to die). They needed to demolish the thing first. Partway through the demolition, my buddy and I decided we wanted to hop the fence and go in. It hadn't gotten all that far through the demolition, it was mostly just the ceiling tiles getting taken out and some of the piping and all that torn out, so we figured it was probably safe enough. It was actually pretty neat, especially seeing all of the parts of school that students never go into like all of the server closets and janitorial places, and the girls changeroom. It was basically just a plain old school still, not much over the top, but we thought it was pretty neat. Anyways, as we were about to leave, there was an old lady and her husband who saw us and then shouted at us. We promptly turned around ran to the otherside of the school, and as we hopped the fence, my mother happened to pass by the school on her daily walk, which she decided to deviate from her normal path because she wanted to meet a friend for coffee. My mum was not overly pleased, though its not like she flipped shit or anything, she's pretty chill about it.

| | | I've always been the adventurous type. When I was a child, I wanted to be an explorer, finding hidden places, searching for new things, undiscovered glories of the past...But alas, it seemed like a child's pipe dream. I was told throughout my life that there was no place left to explore, that the world had seen it's share of wonders, that the mundane world was as good as it was going to get, adventures could only be found in works of fiction... Until recently. Not too long ago, my friend challenged me to find a rooftop location and take a picture from it. I can still remember how it felt when I finally found the place after searching around...The sense of intense satisfaction, the feeling of the cool wind on my face, the empowerment, and the spectacular view. I took it all in for a while, realizing that this was worth the 16 flights of steps.
So, I found a new hobby and I've been looking for new adventures ever since.
