Does anyone know who made this chalk picture, or at least when? It's pretty interesting due to the lack of the usual graffiti.

This place has a pretty cool basement, it's unfortunate it awaits the fate of MLG.

It's Les Barons, the wild card from the voodoo tarot deck.
Nice rendition (no, no Idea who put it there).

It's some sort of a well in the basement. The masonry seems out of place, for sure. Could it be an actual well, given that the building dates to 1927? There is also a dry sub-basement which is lower than the water level in the well.

Could you elaborate? Google isn't helping.

The thing is, there are no graffiti in the warehouse what-so-ever, save for this voodoo stuff. I was actually thinking it was a remnant from and a witness to some occult rituals performed by Loblaws executives in the seventies.

I feel like I'm picking the most mundane shot as a personal favorite, but I'm really drawn to #2... just an 'open space' shot but damn you composed that so well.

The tarot graffiti rocks - looks like it is right out of The Serpent and the Rainbow.

Took a little trip there today and was having a lovely time when I stupidly got caught by security. Talked my way out of it but felt like an idiot for getting caught. Most frustrating was that I didn't get to the offices upstairs. Here's a few shots:

1. Silver Glow

2. Danger 5

3. Skylight

4. Art Deco Safe 1

5. Art Deco Safe 2

6. Art Deco Safe 3

Those safes are amazing!

Remember I thought some of that graffiti and symbols came from a movie set? I can't believe I totally blanked on this, but I just remembered that I worked on a film called Max Payne and they shot A LOT of stuff in Loblaws building. Watch the trailer and you can see a lot of the building in it.

Wow, that safe is beautiful and we missed it!

Am I correct in thinking that these were taken in the low-rise part of the building? I don't remember seeing any of: the slanted skylight, silver-painted columns, square columns, stacked pallets, and the goddamn safe.

The holes in the back of the building were sealed with white stuff (clearly seen on pic #4) a week after our trip, so congrats on getting in!

Care to share the details of (1) getting caught and (2) talking your way out? (We nearly exposed ourselves by foolishly not guessing the location of the guard's office, although, in retrospect, we could.)
