I sware I can't get away from these things. Just picked up an 87 glhs charger from the original owner today, garage kept with quite a few mods, extra parts, and all the original paperwork and tons of books/articles/receipts etc. It needs a head gasket I believe, blew out between 1+2. All this for $850. Pics to come!!!!!

That's what the methanol's for.

On that note, perhaps there's a reason my Daytona hasn't seen a street in 3months. Certainly couldn't be the FWD-P computer that went out, no.

i can already tell the A/C compressor is gone...

these cars are all but extinct here. Shit even in Tennessee, you'd find one of these and all the hard plastic lines would be cracked and leaking. That was one of the biggest reasons I got rid of my 86 Daytona Turbo Z.

If you show me a turbo dodge that still has the AC compressor, I'll show you Miley Vyrus's talent and dignity.

Besides that wiring job (mine's far worse and functions ok) that's an epic score.

i had to do that on my 86 Dodge 600... the voltage regulator is part of the underhood computer (the power module, i think). Anyways, the regulator went kaput so my brother found the wires and wired in an external, Ford-style voltage regulator. Of course, my 600 was a non-turbo 2.5L, but it still ran well despite using oil like it was free!

i haven't owned a lot of Chrysler products.
I've owned four.

1979 Plymouth Horizon (1.7L VW/4spd Peugeot transaxle)
1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z
1986 Dodge 600 coupe
1989 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo sedan
(this ^ car was a shame because it was the loaded for bear Shadow with the beastly 5speed. Even as beat and rusted as it was, it was still a beast)

(had a Mitsu-Dodge D50 as well, but that doesn't count)

Chrysler starting in the 80s switched to the computer controlled regulation for the alternator. It's kind of interesting how it works; the alternator sends 5V to the computer and sends back a different voltage to control it.
